Here's the video:

Be sure to play it at the highest quality and take a look at the FPS counter.

Intel graphics and a single-core CPU doesn't look like it would do well even with AA. I would still bet heat though.

Oh really? Yeah, when I try to play AA3 on my laptop its impossible lol. I can run it on the lowest settings pretty much but its hard to play that one.

I'll upload a video for you. I just played 3 maps at 1680x1050 with full settings on a 9500GT WHILE recording full-scale FRAPS and got around 30FPS on the maps. There's probably more optimization to do but I think it's good enough for a test.

Yep, mine's 1550 better than your piece of trash.

Teddy knows. The AA3 maps aren't really that demanding. The engine makes a big difference, on AA3 there's per-pixel lighting everywhere and advanced particles and features that had to be removed from the maps in order to convert them. I have a 5 year old GPU and I'm satisfied with the FPS on the maps.

It has to be heat. You can be using a cooling pad but a laptop of that age might already have the CPU/GPU cooler clogged with hair/dust and while the cooling pad will help, you're still not getting air past the heatsink fins.

This is what I've seen MANY times in laptops:

Grab yourself HWMonitor and Prime95. Run Small FFT's in Prime95 and watch temps in HWMonitor and post back. Also post what CPU you have (it should say in HWMonitor).

What GPU are you currently running Spanky?

I don't mean to brag but I'm rolling a 9500GT 1GB unit. Please refrain from exuding jealousy Killaman.

Zoxee, it would probably be cheaper for you to find one locally, even on eBay or Craigslist.

Wickid, it's yours if you want it. It's not a great gaming card but it'll beat onboard video and for some older games it's pretty decent. I actually edited maps with it for a little while.

Possessed, x4 isn't that bad for a GPU like yours. It's good to run high end cards on a x16 bus but it likely won't bottleneck your situation. The BSOD's on the other hand, might just be bad drivers...

Pay shipping in the US and it's yours. It's this model here:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127306

It works fine, I just have no use for it and nobody's willing to buy it. I'd rather see it put to use than to scrap it.

My little suggestion;
Once this is done, don't call it a "dedicated" server or "dedicated" binary. That may cause confusion.

Other than that, I see no reason not to do it.

I could be totally wrong too. I've never used 4G and have almost no experience with 3G either. I'm just throwing theories out there.

That might be the issue, it's a 4G router, not a standard home Internet connection. It is likely out of our control. Who knows what the cell company does with IP address requests and whatnot.

It's not a global WiFi issue. Most work just fine (I know mine did, Ganjas does). WiFi should work the same as ethernet. The issue might be in your router itself or something with the network settings on your computer.
