I don't see why you're gettin upset over what he said. That ("nobody can play BCD when I'm not organizing it") is pretty much what your posts had said before the last one (where you said people could still continue to do it - you just wouldn't be announcing it).

Like I said already, I can guarantee that a lot of people who play BCD don't know you've been organizing it.

Look at some of the other prophecies too... "presented with gifts" "rejected by his own" "betrayed by a friend" "sold for 30 pieces of silver".
Lots of people are given gifts, lots of people are rejected by others, lots of people are betrayed, lots of people are sold, even to this day, slavery is alive and well.

While it can be a prophecy by definition, it's nothing out of the ordinary and hardly proof that there's a god.

I dont know either what majority thinks. At least back in time ppl disliked the change to this. And with that nade ballistics thing the change isnt even big, but significant. Its like one metre more or even less than one metre.

The fact is, people generally dislike change. No matter which way it goes. They disliked it then, and they would dislike it now. Not necessarily because they like it better one way or the other, but because they are used to how it works.

You're right, Assist might be pretty hard to find. And there's a reason for that. In all honesty, what we're doing here (keeping this game alive) is not exactly legal. We don't own the game thus we shouldn't distribute it. And therefore it is extremely difficult to advertise for the game. I know some have tried - on MAC and linux community sites for example - however it has only had a limited success. We've also sent mass emails to old AA users (for whom we could find email information, which was a fraction of the players) and I don't think that made a significant change either.

I also miss all the good old times where I could play (almost) any map 24/7... It was good times. However, a game this old (version 1 came out almost 13 years ago), keeping a somewhat steady userbase is (in my opinion) an achievement in it's own. The only thing the game has over newer games, is it's unique gameplay. All the rest is unfortunately outdated. I mean the game can have a difficulty running on high end machines nowadays. Not because it's such a demanding game, but probably because it was built for much different machines.


So all in all, you're talking about history here. I wish there was something straightforward that could be done to increse our playerbase 10-fold, but I doubt there is such a thing. If you (or anyone for that matter) can come up with one, I assure you everyone here would be greatful.

I know I've made quite a few (definitely more than I should) comménts about/for you that are less than subjective. I aplogize for that.

I also don't know for certain what has or what hasn't been going on between the 2 of you in private channels recently. However, Spanky doesn't seem like the guy to be swayed easily. For as much as I know him, he's seemed to be a man of his own rather than to be that of a politician (I remember him having + and - internetz and while he had a ton more of +, he still had tonnes of -...).
