Clans, Matches & Scrims / Re: 82nd Airborne Division, USAT Recruiting
« on: Monday, March 12, 2012, 14:25:14 PM »
out of curiosity, why do you need a password to register on the forums?

Just for security purposes

To mans:

Our roster and methods of play are in someway similar to the military. We have a chain of command, training/tactics for each map and we work together as a team. For a team to work correctly and with success, a team needs chain of command, a structure and methods.
The United Sim Army Teams, of which the 82nd Airborne is a unit, has been around for a long time (since 2003).

To Skrewup

We have a specific ranking structure for both enlisted and officers.
By having recruits begin at PVT, it allows for both the recruit and us to get to know each other

To Jonnym

Not as of now. COL Shad is working on it

I am not talking about clan forums, just clan groups with their own colors or something

I would to suggest the addition of groups/clans which would then allow for clans to have their own groups in forums, with a specific color for each clan.

General Chat / Re: Advertising AA2.5

Since you seemed to have assumed the media and advertising department, what next avguste? :)

Well, next is me bringing in my own unit in AA2.5 effective immediately!!
Separate post on that in a few minutes.

As far as media/advertisement, I emailed Battletracker about them showing the AA2.5 banner.
Already posted in quite a few mac gaming forums and I have the AA2.5 banner as signature in most of the forums I am at.
Now, lets give it sometime and see how the community grows. While I think of other ideas.

Groups in xfire can be useful to connect players who would normally not be connected. track game time for games and so forth

Just created an Xfire community for AA2.5
http://www.xfire.com/communities/aa25/

As soon as any of the admins join, I will give them full admin access.

Feedback & Suggestions / Mods suggestions

Hello

I would like to suggest the addition of the following mods:

Gallery mod= http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=473
Having a gallery, would allow the community to share in game pictures, real life pictures and so forth.

Referral mod= http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1114
The referral mod would allow for current community members to recruit other players and be given credit for

Ad Management mod= http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=255
This would allow to have exchange of banners with other gaming sites, list supporters of AA2.5 and even potentially sell advertising space.

Talk to Homey. Find his house and ring his doorbell if you can, he almost never responds to anything else.

For this, i would say it is something the admins should deal with.

Done.
One thing that will help I think is having Battletracker show the AA2.5 banner on their site or something.

I also just posted at http://www.macgamestore.com/forum/index.php?/topic/2063-americas-army-25-for-mac/

I think the issue is simply the fact that not many players are aware of the existence of AA2.5
As a matter of fact, the only reason I found about AA2.5 was because I was browsing the Battletracker forums.
