More player involvement in votes would be great but personally I believe that those who give a damn about assist and it's happenings are those of  who actually visit the forums here. If they would visit just once every three or so days they would be up on things and see a vote going on. It isn't like they need to spend hours here nor visit 10 times a day like some do, just a few minutes while they wait inbetween rounds in game or while viewing other things on web. No one who has time enough to play aa doesn't have 5 minutes to visit the place making it possible for them to play the game. Maybe someone could think up a way to entice them to visit and maybe there would be a trickle down effect that other people would get interested and want to play the game to. Just the ramblings of an old fool.  :oops:

Exactly. That is if the ban is for hacking/cheating and not for an admin in pissy mood for being owned or other type things that don't involve hack/cheat. The way some people are acting we need to forgive and forget as if the player accidentally went and either coded a hack or searched for one and then installed it and ultimately used it and gets caught when it isn't accidental because they willingly and maliciously do this.

LOL Well maybe and maybe not. In the last few years there has been baseball players who have awards they received while using steroids but yet are being kept from entering the hall of fame because of the same. And then you have the athletes in the olympics who test positive and are stripped of the metals on the spot.

Sure they do. Just look at someone who has been using roids for any period of time and then quits using. They go from big bad and buff to shriveled sickly looking.

Really? Seems to me this should be directed towards those who are knowingly and willingly installing the hacks and or cheats since they are the ones who are ultimately causing the death of any game, not just this game, when they know the consequences of their actions before they pay for or in other ways receive then use them and get caught. Why should those of us who don't indulge in cheating always be the ones who have to be sympathetic to those that do when it should be those who are considering cheating should be sympathetic towards the rest of the community and plain and simple don't do it.

There was few to no one playing this map till Rapture decided to start promoting it and set his server to it. You act as if a majority of the AA 2.5 players were playing it and they weren't. Guaranteed a lot of them never even known the map existed.

Apart from that, I think the answer is clear, so we can keep talking in circles, but that's a waste of energy for everybody.

So we know now that you think there are people with assist admin friends who turn blind eyes, we know that you think that your friends would be banned in an instant (FYI, there were friends of you who misbehaved multiple times in the past, but didn't get banned like that), and I see now that even when you clearly had a response, you keep trying on other places again, acting as if you didn't know.

I want to politely ask you to stop that. If someone is creating a toxic environment, we will take action. If there is no current misbehaviour, we do not have the manpower/energy/priority to actively hunt, but we do block the creation of 2nd accounts. That's the final thing, and that won't change.

So please, focus the energy on enjoying the game. And if you see active misbehaviour on servers, report it with screenshots and we will do as it fits.

But if there is no misbehaviour anymore, let it go.

It's a bit tiring when you keep asking the same thing everywhere while you clearly had a response already.

I wouldn't disclose private messages. In this case I expected that sharing that someone said "Ok, fair enough", wouldn't be any issue nor disclose any information. It was mostly to repeat my previous statement and acknowledge that you already seen it and answered. If you think that's a misinterpretation, then my apologies.

Hi, on his regular ip he can't create new accounts. But when there are no new violations, i don't have the energy to actively hunt anything. The goal for me is to avoid breaking the ToS, not to have a witchhunt.

When Joe was released a few months ago, it was on condition that he can only play with one account (the JoE131 account), so why does he now have access to at least 4 (including his original)? I know at least two of those have been ‘given’ to him by one of his friends in order to circumvent the single account condition that was given to him when he was unbanned. One of those accounts was renamed to a similar username as one of his other friends, to make it look like him and not one of Joe’s alternative accounts. This can only be to further create a greater degree of anonymity. It clearly goes against the single account condition that was given, and it completely contradicts the policy outlined in the attached forum tread, so why is that allowed?

We have never policed the existence of extra accounts. You're pals with multiple people who regularly use multiple.
Our policy is to not allow the creation of new accounts for the same person. Unless it's to do with ban evasion, we don't monitor the use of multiple accounts by a single person. The same rules go for everyone.

Using at least 4 or 5 accounts to play undercover. Using a VPN to (try) and hide your identity. You’re only supposed to be using one account and, according to the rules laid out by Teddy, nobody is supposed to be playing undercover to get around bans. You’re lucky you have Assist admin friends who turn a blind eye to this, if any one of us do what you do, we’d be permanently banned in an instant.
