The Lounge / Re: WHO THE FUCK STOLE MY BOTTLES AND CANS

$100? You had 2,000 cans laying around? When I lived in Oregon, I always liked doing that but I only ever let it get up to $5-$10 worth and did it before grocery shopping so the trip into the store wasn't wasted. Maybe keep them inside :)
Every state has a different deposit. Here in Michigan it's 10 cents per can/bottle.

Honor Claims / Re: Honor problem

have you guys tried giving him 95 (or some other number) honor and seeing if that updates then retry 94 honor?
He's supposed to be at 93. We manually gave him 94 but I'm not sure if he's tried to play yet.

He played for it, he wants it, he deserves it, we provide it.
I actually deleted skrewy's comment (as I have to often). but too late. This seems to be bigger than one person's honor though. Assist clearly isn't pulling honor from battletracker in this instance.

Well it's still at 92 honor and my username is "Cudicemir".
If that helps
Your honor on battletracker is at 93. there is literally nothing we can do. We edit the honor on battletracker and assist pulls that stats from battletracker. There must be something wrong with assist.

I would support that. I think when people take the tracker too seriously it takes the fun out of it.
Getting rid of stat tracking would be a fantastic way to lose a lot of players.

1. Not currently.

2. No. 2.8.5 does not have a functioning auth system like 2.5 does.

Turn the voip feature of AA on. There's a lot of hidden features that were never used for the public version.
Does it even work? I'm curious to see how well it would work.

Show me FPS where you have _public_ server, with superb teamwork, cooperation, etc. It's not a problem of this game, it's a problem of people mentality in general. You will always get i-only-care-bout-myself-and-my-FR attitude in public FPS servers.
Red Orchestra 2 has amazing teamwork. It's not a FR/ K/D whore games like Battlefield, AA, and CoD. It doesn't even show your deaths on the stats screen. A key reason to why a game is a successful team game is that it has to have VOIP everyone on the team can use. Battlefield and AA lack this. As a matter of fact, AA lacks any team oriented feature since it's so old.

We shouldn't be changing maps we didn't make unless there is a major bug in them.

I agree with him that it's boring. The gameplay is stale and so are the players. Same boring map for 50 rounds in a row, you know exactly where the enemy is coming from, they know where you are. Nobody plays as a team and there's shitty tactics.

I've seen other posts where people just hate the gameplay and get tired of AA, especially when comparing it to other games. It's not just me, it's why there's only 150 or so people on at any given time. It's a game for the minorities, the whores, the kids, the glitchers. There would be more people playing if the game had better features and a better player base.
Let's face it, the game is outdated. The only reason people still play it is because they did for a long time. We're not going to get new players to play an outdated Unreal Engine 2 based game. Sure we can change the game and try to get new players, but we will lose a lot of old ones, and if our quest to get new players fails, we're left with nobody playing it anymore.

People don't play AA because it's a new and improving game, they play AA because they have for a long time. Nobody wants anything to change. They don't want to learn new maps, instead they want to whore the same old ones. Anything big we do would cause a shitstorm in the community. We can't risk losing any more players. Not to mention a lot of changes mentioned (updated graphics and code) would need some serious dedication, dedication nobody currently has for a game with such a small playerbase.

Anyway, if you want a super simple keypad controlled mover, take a look at the garage door on Pipeline. I believe it has something to do with the Object property on the Mover, something about bInitialState.
Dockside also has 2 garage doors open by pressing a button. You need a trigger and then link the trigger to the mover (I believe you do this by naming them the same thing under event) I could be wrong. Then change the initiate state in the mover settings to triggerControl, UseTrigger, or something like that. Too lazy to open the editor and look.

Hey max, just a heads up, but you don't have to add commvolumes to zoned off rooms. There is a comm location option in the zone info. This way you don't have to mess with commvolums for indoor areas.

They're not even in my top 5 metal bands but it's hard to deny the brilliance of Master of Puppets. Just curious, what would you pick?

All of the recent talk about drugs kinda reminded me of this song. Possibly the greatest metal album ever created.
