I am impressed  :D :D downloaded and started converting back, and then loaded straight in the editor...works brilliant, no linked packages missing except for a very few (not the ones that matter anyway). Every object and every zone is at its place with no scaling issue or whatsoever issue. Very very nice job :D i was actually even able to load a couple of custom maps without hassle.

its still possible to go into a coop map in the old browser from aa army 2.8.5 and i look to hospitalne and sfhospital_ne_coop057 dee were the same only the one we had is whit bots in it, and yes in the dark.
i lookt also in sum new maps and here is a picture from Alley_Piglan  verry hard wall? LOL



Being some kind of copy of the Alley map from AA3 it also retains the size (its a huge map). I actually gave it a look some time ago, its unfinished but still, somewhat interesting.

There are some vehicles, but its ironical you're not given a lot of space to drive them onto. Overall its a good layout but if i were to play on it i would cut a part of it to make it something more like the old District, for a little closer distance combat.

Hi, i have a problem with AA, i get a critical error when entering any server, but i get it only on Windows XP, while on Windows 7 i don't have that issue. If anyone know why this happens, please let me know, thanks.

I took a look at the Hacking Alerts log and it seems in the last few days it has been spammed by 2 precise servers

79.180.23.154  Dawn Of The Dead Team Honor + Tracked

 79.194.58.66 -WKS- Minenfeld -[SF]-Server-[GER]-

They filled up half of the log, with dozens of Antipoke mismatches and such. Along with Stemelex alerts.

Because it whitelist something like what? You didn't gave refererence. By chance i guess you are still having problems with your AA install...look at the "gorgeous" log.

Try to do a neat thing, ask Trollmaniac to help you with Teamviewer, clean your pc and reinstall AA.

SFHighland is another of the maps i really like, very nice layout given the size (it's huge by every means)

That red haze is due to the sunset light colour. The map has an impressive level of detail, in pretty much each of its parts.

If you're talking about your older Honor level, the one you had up until the official Authentication went down, that can be assigned back again in relation to your Battletracker account. You need to proove (e.g. with a screenshot, or a website cache) that you reached that honour level at any given time before December 18th 2011.

If this is the case, someone needs to move the topic anyway. There's an Honor claim section right for that kind of things.

If we had the resources (mostly financial resources and game code) to make better things and improve the game, we could have looked up plenty of things among AI, game performace (multithreading capability), game code improvements...

Anyway for the record, AI in 2.8.5 is controlled by paths and behaviors, to put it briefly. If you want a nice study case, you can check out Unreal 2004 AI which actually works very nicely, it's pretty decent even for today's standard.

No. When i tried converting Interdiction, i tried putting in back a few NPCs, lets say just 7/8. The error messages coming from the poor AI control lead to a huge server log spam. Basically servers would gasp for air after a few minutes if you were to roughly add NPCs (aka bots) without setting them up properly (and that requires more time, if its actually possible). Additionally, you have to design it to make sense, which involves further work if the map wasn't meant for a coop gameplay (as most maps).

Monkeys would probably be smarter than the actual AI.

If you want a few more hints and tips for the overall design, try looking for "Crimson Sunset", it was a map made by 151Alpha and it has some nice adds that goes in a similar direction i think. Anyway nice to see a map that looks and probably plays differently in respect to many other ones.
