I happened to be there on the HT Hospital server and noticed that the server Admin (Kello i think) also warned him against using the parental control glitch (to get an M4 instead of the Spr sniping rifle).

It's Pit's server, Pit is a good pal i don't think he would approve. If he was to make a clan scrim/training he would just lock the server with a password (but chicken's farm has always been public, so...).

i agree with the very practical reasons of running 2.5 over any other version, i only disagree on Coop gameplay, it might just haven't been your cup of tea but i assure you all it was fun to play with friends. Working as a team to get to the objective, playing (fair) for the team and not as an individual, having a well defined role inside a squad...i believe this is what was meant to be America's Army core gameplay meaning.

Fair as far as we know. There's no way to actually tell who voted and for what. From the comments in the thread it seemed overwhelmingly opposed to the unban.

Yes, because only a few of the ones who voted for the unban have also posted about. Sometimes it's hard to get  lazy people to use democratic ways to explain their point of view, they prefer to whine under a dictatorship.

Yup. A sniper slot worked out great in Urban, and this way Spanky might actually play the map! :P

I kinda figured that it was something like an equip made for Spanky, lol.

It's too small for SF weapons and everyone with a 203 would just kill the fun. It's like doing SF on Urban Assault, 203's flying everywhere to the point where it's just not fun anymore.

+1, shooting a m203 requires very basic skills, makes little to no fun and by today it has become the new Lame Weapon of choice.

P.s. you said it is too small for SF weapons, but you're equipping some slots with an s24? I'm confuzzeled.

The Lounge / How much abuse can a Toyota Hilux bear?
« on: Sunday, March 18, 2012, 17:55:36 PM »
Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond from Uk's Top Gear manage to get a Toyota Hilux through a series of use and abuse. I can't honestly believe the didn't changed a single spare part, but it's still funny to watch.

News / Re: New Website

I think previous website layout was better and easy to understand:) but this one is ok too but more confusing for other players

I honestly find it to be clearer than the previous forum version, now the blog and the forum are also joining the each other in a smoother way, you have a much less invasive shoutbox with no image posting available on it, and the useful bits of data right on top on the header. The layout is tidy and neat, and while there are a few tiny parts i don't like, the overall design is good.

General Chat / Re: Anti-Cheat History

Well check my log for example:
None of those kicks were made because of any hack\exploit\cheat. Only the last one is because I have the ultimate server mod on system folder which I'm even trying to load offline and No idea what's it's class name.

ps: lots of ppl are having those kicks too.

That covers more than 1 month time worth, and mostly it's just about Punkbuster not being able to communicate correctly with your client (due to your connection, likely). The "Ignoring MD5 tool queries" it's hardly useful, it doesn't tell anything of the issue that caused a lack of communication between the server and the client.

Btw if you meant about that Slot Closed warning, well it's just a client/connection fault, it used to happen before and it will still happen under the new name. It happens sometime that a game server goes totally nuts, because it needs maintainance, or it just needs to be restarted, and you see players getting kicked one after another, because the server itself is no more communicating and operating at the level it should for Punkbuster to work "flawlessly" (let's say)...but that is pretty obvious when it happens, as it soon leads to a server crash.

Nope, it just replaced an older Punkbuster violations (ingnoring MD5 queries). I happen to get the same when my connection doesn't almost work at all. The other case is this:

It also happens if the client changes server without logging out first cos the slot is moved to another server before the player leaves the server. also happends if the client crashes becuase the server does not recieve a log out message from them.

General Chat / Re: Official cheats, allowing users to choose their own weapons???
« on: Sunday, March 18, 2012, 06:20:07 AM »
Actually you dont need a mod to do this, If you want players to choose their own weapons turn on offical cheats and look on the Help tab in assist, click AA manual and look on page 112 of the manual for instructions on how it works.

I'm not sure if he would do this as turning on official cheats will let players choose their weapon every time they want to during a match, and there would be some ammunition spam issue of course: people getting lame, choosing rpg's, AT4's, m203s and GPs and starting spamming like it was Omaha's Beach battle while getting a new reload every 20 seconds.

So basically you can hardly do that because people would most likely abuse it right from the start.

I bet 84% of users here get a blown out white looking at this: http://uofgts.com/PS-P2Site/moncal.gif

I get a full and decently matching set between black and white with no outblowing, i agree that who has a badly set monitor while also have an outblown white. So it's a screen fault, set it up or buy a decent one (and i can tell a good monitor will also save your eyes).

Very nice layout, i like the colours and the new shutbox position. The new header is a pretty handy thing, too.

I'm with Choogelaar in this. If his AA was downloaded from Piratebay as he says, then there's no problem to show it and check the files. I doubt there is such torrent, but never know.

Just checked, a 2.5 version torrent doesn't even seems to be available on the bay. I could barely found a couple torrents for the 2.5 version on a different search engine. Did it disappear in such a small timelapse?

I thought virtual memory was ram not hdd :/

You actually use the page file that resides on the hard disk. I think you can disable the page file, in case you have a huge amount of ram, but if ends you'll get some process shutting down for running out of virtual memory aswell.
