Best to keep it simple. As long as the support site for drivers isn't confusing that would be nice. Sometimes it's annoying finding legacy drivers.

Media & Art / One sound-effect and a Personal Ringtone
« on: Sunday, August 29, 2010, 22:58:08 PM »
I got a cellular the other day and I was thinking of ways to customize it. The simplest and quickest way was for me to change the default sounds on it. So earlier today I got on FL Studio and messed around until I got what I think I wanted.

I wanted something short, not annoying, and maybe a little atmospheric. It's also properly named because the tones were made with 3 oscillating sine waves :) This sound particularly I made everything myself.

At first I wanted something atmospheric like being really dazed and floating out in space. But I couldn't find or make anything that was fitting with how it was sounding in my head. So then I looked thru my ridiculously extensive supply of kits and sounds, put a few together, added some band-pass effects, a bit of magic and got this. 22 seconds is enough for 1 ring eh ;)

Those are probably the only sounds coming out of the phone because I don't like hearing anything else. Everything is muted except the incoming text sound, ringtone, and the xylophone keypad tones. Either all that or its on silent.

What do you think of my sounds? Better than the default trash that comes with phones?

Nice. I managed to figure out how to hold down one button and get my piano do basically do the first 6 seconds of the famous Top Gear song:

Like almost every discovery in the world, I found it out completely by accident :)

Nice piano. I've been doing the same thing-ish recently. I have the piano and the desk and the sound routed into the piano :)

Ya I guess as long as the changes make sense to be within a time span of 10 years in the pokemon world.

Since XP is working now, I don't need to take the time to switch the entire OS. Plus i have linux and XP on the same HD, so Id rather not try and overwrite XP with 7.

Next time I reformat itll be with 7 since XP has been kind of, done. There's prolly more hacks to discover on 7!

lol, Ive tried this before just to screw around. Map editing is fun. Especially when it's tiles, easy stuff. Are you gonna edit the world map? I know the guys who did Pokemon Brown changed the world map completely.

lol. Is this final? Your HD tip btw is excellent for people who can't get enough of optimization. Honestly I think there should be one manual that comes with all comps that have tips like that.
