lawl, big difference between killing a blind opfor and killing an opfor with a bigger (better) gun.

and you would be one to bring a stone and knife to a gun fight. ;D

edit: why is every one of skewy's posts about cocks? dont you think about anything besides penis's? gettin lil obsessive over there

I just meant another thing, but nevermind who cares, Jarkko (Cal) got it.

I think the all black looks sexier. :P

You'll need a trasparent case with leds like Jared's one to notice that kind of sexyness behind videocards and such, its worth anyway. I just look for value parts, most of the time, my home desktop pc mounts an AM3 Matx asus which is pretty decent while being cheap to buy, on the other hand it's not even terribly worth to go for FX capable mainboards by now.

I can't even read that. :P  And my Gigabyte 990FX AM3+ board is black.

I wrote "usually" for that reason, because there are exceptions indeed. Better than Asus anyway.

how can you tell?

Between the cpu and the videocard slot sits the Gigabyte brand i think, and anyway Gigabyte mobos are colored in blue usually.

ya, guess flashes are good for those who fear real gun fights :)

-.- yeaaah. Why did they even bothered to implement flashes? Wait, why did they even bothered to make weapons, better fight with a stone and a knife. That, that is really manly and masculine.

nope, effective when thrown properly, unlike in 2.5 when they are effective no matter where or when they are thrown  :-[ the difference is in 2.8.5 you have to earn your kill and throw "smart" flashes that will give you advantages, in 2.5 you just have to throw your flash and slowly walk to execute a guy that cant see anything for 20 seconds  :'(

The latter is much more realistic imho. Even tho it's true, getting blinded is boring, but you're supposed to make your tactics, avoiding getting blinded and such. On 2.8.5 flashes have almost no ear effect whatsoever, if you stand more than 50 cm away of the place where the flash blows.

I would go with the new. See, I'm all for "What if the DEVS instead of going all-new-gameplay in 3.x version just made a few adjustments in 2.x version with a new/old engine?". To make it fresh. To change the game (to make it better) instead of the gameplay.

I'm all for the new.

America's Army in its 2.00 version was released in November 2003, and last patched in April 2009. Considering that is a quite wide live support timelapse for a game, the game actually reached a certain maturity around 2.5 or maybe 2.6.

AA3 probably was in development at least since a couple years before, and by 2009 AA2 reached many limits due to its age. Also, AA2 has some technical limits that are bounded to the software age, and while the engine was probably a powerful tool back in 2003, as of today it's simply outdated in many ways (one of the most obvious ones is the higher load on cpu, due to a low use of the graphic processor power).

Lucky enough, what matters is not just how the game performs but how it actually feels when being played. So, i can't blame the Army for stopping developing AA2 (i would just blame them for stopping supporting it). Blaming over AA3 poor gameplay...well it's going to be 3 years old in July, something has changed, just not as deep as expected. Oh, they made the game actually playable, kudos for that [/sarcasm]

P.s. try take a look at AA3 poor characters animations, then look at the decent, AA2 ones. I can't find one animation that looks natural in AA3. The whole character body seems to be connected in a wierd way...

Truth to be told, i like the "old" woodland/forest camo more than the digi one. On a second thought, there are many more camos available in this version than the woodland camo anyway (e.g. arctic).

P.s. i just noticed you wrote Woodland/desert in the poll description, lol.

No, there is only 1 option for enemy skins, that mean that regardless of what team you're on, you will see that skin on the enemy. If they had it for each team it would be doable.

Of course you can still switch to reverse the Opfor and US uniforms, to have the former for Friendlies and the latter for the Opfor. I thought he was just asking to play as an Opfor, did he? Otherwise, there's no way as you say in fact.

Thinking about ti some more, I din't think we could make 2 separate teams, opfor and US army. No matter what you do the enemy will have opfor skins or U.S. skins permanently. I don't think there is a way to alter them based on what team you're on as that is not how the game was made. We can't edit the game code.

Nope. Think of the way it is now, you see the enemy as Opfor and Friendlies as US ones, yep? Heres why:

*wrong statement*

I don't know how far you are from Chicago, but that still looks fine anyway (5ms ping). Actually, you should have no issues, given  that no P2P clients or such run in the meanwhile, and your connection works at its best as it does.

Do you have issues while logging with the Assist only? Or is there any other software you use to run that shows similar issues?

I use CrystalCPUID to undervolt my laptop so I get more battery life and less heat.

Hmmm does that work for mobile i7 cpus aswell? I will look it up :)

Hmmm yes as a matter of facts it's possible to set an Opfor looking uniform for friendlies and yourself, and a US army one for the enemy. I just say, as a matter of facts, because the actual practical purpose to use a reversed uniform scheme might be, well, questionable under some points of view. Obviously the main point point would have to be rieducating so many players that have kept playing the game for years with a "correct" uniform scheme (simply, loads of ROE).
