Well they should just revert back to the previous patch, everything worked fine for windows 8.

Ah I thought it was a windows 8 problem, my buddy is playing right now on windows 7 and he's been able to play for hours without getting kicked.

So are you saying there is no fix for this at the moment?
Also, I forgot to mention that I've been getting kicked from servers for Authorization Slot closed. Maybe in a server for about 2 minutes then I get kicked. Once again I never had this happen until the latest update on Assist.
I'm not sure what the patch changed, but whatever it was broke windows 8 more than whatever it was that had to be "fixed".

Like I said, this only happened after the small update that happened earlier yesterday.
My drivers havn't changed nothing is different other than the patch that happened on Assist.
Actually I retract that, there was a windows update. However I believe it was working fine before the assist update

change your settings there.
or in-game type on console, Gamma 1.5, Brightness 7, Contrast 7 ( you can try lower values)
max gamma is 1.5, max brightness and contrats is 9 if I remember.
doesnt work, it says in the console that its changed, but I do not see any changes on screen. It's still dark.
Another thing I have noticed that is now an issue, is when I try to take a screenshot using f9 it gives me an instant critical error.
I even did a system restore, I repaired and also even tried a complete reinstall of the game. I'm on windows 8 Is that an issue?
I tried changing it through both methods you have suggested. No luck. This was only a problem after a small patch that happened today.

Ever since the latest patch of assist 7.32
My Gamma and brightness defaulted back to the original and I have not been able to change my gamma or brightness. It acknowledges that I have changed them but the screen remains the same. This makes it incredibly hard to play in to the point where I cant even see enemies in front of me and sometimes in dark places my gun is hardly visible.
Any idea whats going on?

My friend and I play with similar names, we've been friends a long time and were excited when we saw that assist brought back the game. We don't hack though, Just some old players trying to play the game once again just like everyone else. The ACI bans are 5 years old as stated somewhere else in the thread, so I dont think that its fair that we get banned from other people's servers because of that. The game is already at a really low point when it comes to players, and at most there is usually only 1 or 2 decent servers that have people playing. I would really like everyone to reconsider the links and bans on us.
I would like to also expand an apology to those who feel that we attacked them with certain words. We really aren't jerks, we just are goofing off. Sorry for ruining your gameplay experience.Please forgive us!

So we know now that you think there are people with assist admin friends who turn blind eyes, we know that you think that your friends would be banned in an instant (FYI, there were friends of you who misbehaved multiple times in the past, but didn't get banned like that), and I see now that even when you clearly had a response, you keep trying on other places again, acting as if you didn't know.
I want to politely ask you to stop that. If someone is creating a toxic environment, we will take action. If there is no current misbehaviour, we do not have the manpower/energy/priority to actively hunt, but we do block the creation of 2nd accounts. That's the final thing, and that won't change.
So please, focus the energy on enjoying the game. And if you see active misbehaviour on servers, report it with screenshots and we will do as it fits.
But if there is no misbehaviour anymore, let it go.

Why am I perm banned on 82nd server?
You self-describing there, gunny? Let's try and calm it down. We have never (not even the post you referred to) said that we'll be retroactively looking into second accounts. All that post - clearly, I might add - said was that we wouldn't activate clear alt accounts.

Ok, well, if nobody in authority literally can’t be bothered to keep tabs on fuckwits who have regularly broken the rules time and time again, and continue to do so, then I can’t be bothered to report any bad behaviour in the game. Why the fuck should I bother whenever I try to report anything and I rarely ever get any reply...... Even if I do get a reply, it’s somehow me at fault.

We have never policed the existence of extra accounts. You're pals with multiple people who regularly use multiple.
Our policy is to not allow the creation of new accounts for the same person. Unless it's to do with ban evasion, we don't monitor the use of multiple accounts by a single person. The same rules go for everyone.

Using at least 4 or 5 accounts to play undercover. Using a VPN to (try) and hide your identity. You’re only supposed to be using one account and, according to the rules laid out by Teddy, nobody is supposed to be playing undercover to get around bans. You’re lucky you have Assist admin friends who turn a blind eye to this, if any one of us do what you do, we’d be permanently banned in an instant.
