Support / Re: Question about chat logging
« on: Saturday, February 21, 2026, 15:48:15 PM »
I'm afraid I haven't really run a server so I can't directly help you here.
There may be something in the wiki (though I think it's unlikely). Or you can try and search the forums for something like this.

PS: If you do discover something useful, don't hesitate to write the specifics in a post here so others can also make use of the information.

General Chat / Re: 7426 Hours Played — Great Game but Server Admin Issues
« on: Saturday, February 21, 2026, 15:44:31 PM »
I do understand your stance. And it is indeed frustrating that due to the limited size of the community, there are not too many servers available and often even fewer server owners. And because of that, a user's ability to play the game can (effectively) be down to the whims of a few individuals.

However, what we need to understand is that it's (generally) their server. They can regulate it how they want (within certain reasonable constaints, of course). We (the 25Assist team) do encourage keeping servers open and not banning people due to personal grudges and other subjective reasons. However, we're unlikely to intefere in these situations. We simply don't have the standing to do so.

I suppose the way to better manage this would be what the US Army did. To centralise the server ecosystem and only allow certain servers in our server lists (however one would curate them). However, we (25Assist / aao25.com) are in no legal position to be doing this. This game still belongs to the US Army. We help make the game playable, but don't try to levy undue influence on it (for the most part at least - and especially lately).

Again, I'm sorry you've been frustrated by the situation you've come back to. I wish the community saw the value of having a diverse (read: large) set of players even if some of them - compared to the ones in charge of the servers - are more skilled than the ones, or have different politcal views, or sexual orientation, or wear their wedding ring on the wrong finger, or have something else arbitrarily different about them. But that's saddly not the world we live in.

Support / Re: Help getting my old account back
« on: Saturday, February 21, 2026, 15:32:52 PM »
Hi.

I found an account with the following names:
NoG.wAynE^ (in 2013)
NoG.bAtman.^ (later in 2013)
i7.bAtmaN (even later in 2013)
NoG.gzX (in 2014)

Is that you? If so, the login name is "Essah.v7".

Let me know if you've got any further issues logging in.

Assist Support / Re: Can't log in to Assist

I don't see an account with the name 'odball'. Are you sure you've signed up for an Assist account here? This is different from your forum account.
There's certainly an account with that name. ID is 884473. But it's not been activated or logged in to 25Assist.

Understood. No idea what's going on. Pass is correct, not forgotten.
I'm able to login on forum, but not in the assist (using the same data).
VPN is not used by me.

Any remedy?
Have you tried just resetting? your password and using a new one?

That's what I'm trying to do without luck every time.

I guess something else is a problem.

Regards
Perhaps you just forgot your password and need to reset it?

Nothing has changed on our side. Other people are successfully logging in. Last successful login from a new user was 7h ago. Before that we had 2 yesterday. Everything is running as expected on our side.

You have registered an account under your name. The login name and the in game name are both "odball". So use that along with your password to log in to 25Assist.

The forums account is separate from the 25Assist in game account. See the links under "Assist Account" at the top of the page for 25Assist accounts.

Honor Claims / Re: Honor claim
« on: Monday, January 19, 2026, 05:25:43 AM »
Unfortunately I don't see anything our database about any old accounts by that name. Effectively that means you did not use your BattleTracker credentials to log in to 25Assist and as such we do not have your details.

And unfortunately (though somewhat unsurprisingly) we do not have access to the actual / original user database that the US Army was using. As such, we cannot look up or verify your honor from there.

Best advice I can give is two fold:
1. Try and find a previous screenshot of you in game with your honor showing. This is easiest if you have data from back in the day still lingering around (old hard drive / PC, forums, and so on).
2. Try and find a history Battletracker page of your username on Wayback machine. Browing through the toplist pages could work. Or map toplists. But if you didn't have a BT account, this option won't work, of course.

I'm a veteran no longer on active duty. Anything I can do to get it? Want a redacted photo of my cac or veteran ID? I can give you my old army email
Sure, send what you can to [email protected] and let us know here - we don't check that email too often...

We do not distinguish between any different forms of armed forces membership (active, different branches, and so on). We simply do not have the capability to do so.

We give out the "Active Duty Army" to all US servicemen (and women) that send us (to [email protected]) an email from their .mil email with details about their account (account name is sufficient).

Are you using a VPN or some other proxy?
If so, you should stop using it with Assist since it wasn't built with something like that in mind.

AA Support / Re: Critical Error General protection fault!

Could be antivirus related:
https://aao25.com/forum/assist-support/general-protection-fault/msg108568/#msg108568
But in general:
It's a crash, it happens.
nothing to worry about. windows handling problem.
So unless this is happening constantly and preventing you from playing, I wouldn't worry about it.

General Chat / Re: Army Ops Alpha Released
« on: Tuesday, December 09, 2025, 16:22:19 PM »
Didn't it release in the 10th of oct or December of 2024?
Yes. And you'd think there'd be a beta or a full release now, wouldn't you? But there isn't (as far as I can tell anyway)...

Hi!

Can you point me to where / when / how I helped you out last time? That way I can figure out what the issue was and / or how to resolve it.

It would also help if you mentioned what the actual details of the issue you're having now are. What's stopping you from logging on? Do you know the login, the in game name, or the email associated with the account? (PS: if you know the email, send it as a PM instead of replying here)
