Update: whatever i was screwing around with seems to have fixed it...

I now have a consistant 30-40 fps (worse than it was) but it's not spiking anymore...
i'll get a new comp when i can lol

I ran Malware antibytes, as well as Combofix, and neither found a virus...


as for Spanky, I took the liberty of trying the steps mentioned in the above post, even though it's not the same problem, and the issue is still not resolved... ( i had already done that when I made my last post)

I am going to run Prime 95 overnight and see what happens...

results are: 54 tests 0 errors... 0 warnings

@ Zoxee, I have checked my internet connection at the time of these spikes, and it's showing 100mb/s, so I doubt that's the problem...
That being said, I'm looking for an online gaming sim to run, just to check :D

@sergio I ran it this morning as well, all was green, didn't feel the need to post the screenshots :)
But I will in a minute.

@Spanky, thanks for the input, you always make me laugh...
But seriously, it's not the same issue.


I forgot to mention that after about 15 seconds or so, the fps go back up to normal... :P

I am having HUGE problems with this game right now....

I'll be playing fine... 80 fps, 40 at the least...
all of a sudden I can watch my fps start dropping... goes all the way down to 6.... and stays that way for about a minute...
I can't play that way...

It used to never happen, but recently it's every minute or so...
was there an update to assist that might have caused this?

I've done everything i can think of, short of reinstalling my OS...

virus scans, system scans, uninstalling everything i don't really use...
nothing helps...
I checked my AA settings, all on lowest possible, and my .ini is tweaked for best possible performance...
I even tried pb_sleep, but it won't help

I checked taskmgr... nothing running in background...
and yes, all my drivers are up to date...

I have tried gamebooster, with no luck...




So NOW, I'm here, hoping someone can help me :P
any ideas? something I haven't tried yet?
please help :(
