mAAp Project / Re: mAAp pack 7.20 Bug Reports
« on: Friday, December 28, 2012, 03:36:58 AM »
Most of the bugs reported on Petrol, Rooftop, and city Block are fixed although we're still not sure why Petrol and City Block can't be switched to. It's an error with tours.ini but there seems to be nothing causing it. Thanks a lot for helping out.

Testing Petrol:

There's some clipping through at the truck corner, it allows you to look "behind" the fuel pumps.

Thanks for that. It's probably the anti-portal I have on it isn't completely cover up by the truck.

I bought a pair of AKG K240MKII's and a Fiio E10 DAC. They should be coming today but with the recent snow storms I'm not sure. I'm ready to ditch this lame headset.

I looked at adding sewers to Petrol, I actually spent over 2 hours adding stuff to see how it would work, and I decided that the map would be better without them.Although it's not a large map it's simply too big to have small sewers like Mout Mckenna does. They would either be mind explodingly (yes I just made that word up) complex or very simple to the point that and all you would do is spam to the other end and kill someone. It's better without them. Thanks for the suggestion though Jason. I wish more people would come up with ideas for maps. :)

tunnels are amazing. How does the red light works with night vision?
Pipeline doesn't have night vision....

EDIT: wow there actually is. I'm not sure why they put it in a daytime map...

Once you have entered one of these trashcans, you cant get out

Or is that by design?

Oops. I was supposed to put playerblock on those. thanks for pointing that out.
EDIT: I put lids on the dumpsters.

I like it. its simple, good size, looks fun, and can have some strat behind it.  Has a simple sewer system like in mout mckenna come to mind?

I've been considering a sewer system for a while and I might try to make one when I get home from work tonight. We'll see how it goes.

really nice indeed, when does it come online ?
There is a mAAp update planned for sometime in January.

:suck: :wanker:

I think mine looks 4x better though so it evens out  :style:
It definitely does. I'm still not sure how you got the sunlight to look so great. I tried adding sunlight to a couple of my maps and it always looks like crap.

I never said anything before but for me, on the main startup page of Assist, it pings the auth server. Most always for me it has to ping it twice resulting in a 3000-4000ms
The same exact thing happens to me every time.

Wow lol, still 60MB :) I don't think it matters a whole lot though. If you think of 60MB of lightmap textures (which it isn't), that's nothing on a modern graphics card's memory.

Since I haven't commented on your map yet, it's a real badass. It's like Weapons Cache on steroids. Very good job done on it.
Yeah it might be twice as big as mAAP Pipeline but I get 4x the performance on it. :P

There was an FPS problem? I guess I haven't looked at it in a while...
I remember I was getting like 30 FPS with a fairly strong PC.

I might release my jungle map if I can get a couple things done on Pipeline in time.
Did you ever figure out the FPS problem on the jungle map?

Will you make it the same "format" as the other mAAp maps
For instance name it MP_Petrol.aao
I don't know what more that needs to be fine adjusted the mAAp format.
Yeah I will. I made Rooftop and City Block the same way. I usually change the name and all that when I'm done making the map.

Briefings for Rooftop are done.

Also, there will be a mAAp release thread with screenshots, videos, descriptions and all that good stuff shortly before it releases.
