I don't want a Radar I want a SAI (Situational Awareness Indicator) think thats the abv. 
You basically have that now and on narrow maps like bridge ect with the compass it give you almost the same awareness.

The SAI allow you to see where your buddies are to know they are covering you as a team.  What you describe above is that very game play.  Realistically it is difficult to let people know what your doing using console text as VoIP is not available like you would have in real life.  So the SAI makes up for this.
You can still only see the members on your own fire team so again it goes to the team work scenario.
I like it, it also allow you to find objectives easier on complex maps that noobs could spend the whole round not finding with the compass.

There already is GlassHouse, pretty identical gameplay and very similar layout.

Glass house is very large compared to Cage which is probably the smallest map ive seen.

with like 53 servers for 40 players right now I'd say the game doesnt really need any more servers

We also do not want to play on crappy home servers when there are ones in datacenters on fast connections around..  If it for use within your local area go ahead but I think people with home server should add something like [HS] to the name.

Interesting. I looked in the 2.4.1 source and opening weapon slots isn't even available for tournament mode. Seems like Tournament mode open slots was introduced in 2.5 and then globally in 2.6. Perhaps if we had some 2.6 files, namely AGP_Gameplay.u we could work on it some more. Duplicate their functions.

adf have several active and retired servicemen, I'll ask my clanmates if they are issued 3d mini maps that spot bad guys or if they usually just verbally or physically report shit.

I seen it on TV so it must be true. 

It would be good to find out if they do use this from the real guys..

I think the radar is quite realistic. In the military, it's a group effort. You spot an enemy and keep it to yourself, you risk the lives of your whole squad. It's that kind of information that gets shared and the SAI/Radar/HUD is the game version of that. Of course, VOIP is the most natural way to do that as you can communicate with your squad in real life, you're not just a bunch of mutes running around. But, not everybody in the server is on the same VOIP and thus an in-game substitute was made.

SAI is good and similar to what they use in real life.

Found the issue:

Windows 7 has an option in Start -> Configuration -> Sound -> tab "Communication",
which states different approaches when dealing with communication channels.

Default(on my system): "Reduce volume of other sounds with 80%".

Solution:

Change it to "Do nothing".

Have the same problem and have set this to do nothing but I still have the problem..

I thought it was fixed there for a while with one of the updates.

Seams that if TS3 audio comes over lound then the AA2 mixer reduces.  This happens even on V2.8.5.

Oh man I forgot to tell you about that. I don't have any code for AGP_Tournament. It's non existent in 2.4.1. I remember you found a line that had a bool value for enableAllWeaponSlots or something like that. I guess a good test would be to make a u file that turns that value to true, maybe itll work in normal gameplay modes. Although Ill probably take a closer look at the code sources I have again and see if theres any lines I missed.

You can open them all in Tournament mode.  I'm hoping there is a command to do this in normal mode, I have tried but with no success adding it to the ini.  V2.6 have this command available in the ini and also the console. 

There must be a easy way.

Maybe you could trick it to think there are the player numbers to open the slots? or if you can work out what code enables that then set it.

Good server, even though i have 97 ping in there  :D

lol 97 is good..  I've had to put up with 400 pings until now.  I wish the OS servers would start running of data centers instead of home connections.  There are a few but they seam to be empty.

Now we have an server that most of the World will be able to play without too many problems.

To be honest, I think PBall is pretty lame. Even though I converted it, I would rather not see it get more popular if Karma becomes popular. It's a map that doesn't fit in with AA at all, I really only converted it because it was a small map that seemed easy to do.

pball is a good map for minimal players. Karma would be good especially on this map as you could shot the objects out the way players are hiding behind.
