Anti-Cheat / GUID's
« on: Wednesday, February 12, 2014, 17:15:00 PM »
Hello,

This is anti cheat related, even though it may appear to be in the wrong section.

Is it possible to get the original GUID's in to the game, and in particular the PBSS's?

Hello,

Not sure about this forums rules on promoting other sites, but I know some of you are members there too.

I don't want too seem like an advertising executive, but I was staff elsewhere until I went inactive.

I had the green badge so I was PBSS staff and we knew which ones to ban and which ones not too.

Hello,

I don't have a server yet, but I will be getting one soon.

I will be looking into this, but I need to see the server and its files first. This is something that can be sorted if PB is still part of AA2.5.

Hello,

I have from scratch just done all this, and I felt like a newbie, so long since I had done an install like this.

I downloaded AA2.5 from a trusted site, installed it c:\aa25 , tried to play but could not.
Did the poking around on -ACI- and found Assist mentioned.
Downloaded it to c:\downloads\assist and installed from there, ran it as ADMINISTRATOR.
As the AA2.5 was not in standard folder, pointed Assist to the folder.
Assist then did some stuff too fast for me to keep up with, then updated 310 game files.
I then went through all the other stuff updated it, although Assist did seem to hang a couple of times, I left it for 5 mins then closed it and restarted it.

This worked, might be you need to run Assist as ADMINISTRATOR the first time. Right click and run as Administrator.

It has been so long . . .

Thank you, that worked.

Hello,

OK, now I am stuck. This is how I got AA2.5 up and running and what I can or can't do.

Downloaded and installed AA2.5, ran it but no auth server. Poked around and found I needed Assist.
Downloaded and installed Assist, it did its thing, I made sure everything updated and OK.
Jumped on CBJ server for 10 mins and it all worked fine.
Just been on another server with player ( got ass kicked ) but all was good.

I have the original icon on the desktop from AA2.5 install, and it runs, I can use console and open bridge, but I can not move or even change view with mouse.
Running through Assist, going to training and the using console to open bridge, I am in the same position. No movement or view change.

Any ideas?

Hello,
Welcome back ;)
Now I am confused.

I only just registered here, but have been in AA for a long time. Just getting back into the game, trying to find how to play offline so I can practice with the 203. Still getting in to the swing of things.

ELiZ is a name I know well, love the software.

Hello,

Well I know some of the names, but are they the people I know?

So drop by and say hi.
