I'd ban this one based on the FR alone. But the "community" will bitch for a week about it. So I leave it up to Sergio.

obviously i know you guys are busy and have lives but as i know it you are the ONLY one who can update assist. If you're too busy why not show someone who has time? You all want to keep this game alive right? Start by updating assist and adding in some new maps and what not. Because I can tell you right now that I'm not the only one who's fed up with whats happening in this game right now...

I will try to respond more seriously now.

On one hand, i can perfectly understand some irritation due to the fact that no updates take place. I'm not going to explain myself, things just are just how they are for the moment, my fault.

But on the other hand, I can't really understand this kind of reasoning: "no updates -> downfall of AA2". In particular, making new maps may be cool. but expecting them to be played on some serious basis is unrealistic. That's exactly what Spanky and others did with mAAp. Great idea, much effort, but unrealistic expectations.

You can complain there are no updates, that's true. But don't tell me, that future of AA2 depends on that.

haha update? Admins have been saying there is an update coming out for about 2 months now. My guess is it's not going to happen. One of the many reasons why I'm fed up with the AA community right now

You are perfectly right. Those guys are lazy bitches. I'm starting to be fed up with this also.

What's the point? Come on man, waste of time...

... just kidding. Nice to see people willing to do such things. Hoah.

I bet one of them is like "Type 'SPANKYISTHEBEST' as any admin's password and access is granted" :D

It's worse than that. He manipulated stats .php source, so that mAAp based servers have 0.10% higher chance to show up in the "top server" info. Doesn't seem much, but I tell ya, the casinos are based on even lower difference in probabilities...

Maybe Spanky just creates a new account and continues to stalk our every move? Or maybe he's already done it?

Of course he does. I looked at the .php sources of the forum, and I tell ya, I see backdoors everywhere!

He will sneak around but won't anything to convince us he doesn't think about AA anymore, but in fact there will be a big NOSTALGY   :P

Spanky is addicted to AA. He trash-talks about it a lot, but you know, it's like a boy and girl arguing with each other, but in fact being in big love.

General Chat / Re: How much resource will a 20 slot server use?
« on: Tuesday, August 14, 2012, 08:47:05 AM »
A friend is willing to host a game server for me on his dedicated server, but he wants to know how much resource a 20 slot server would use.

The server spec is:

Intel i5 Quad Core @ 2.66GHz
16GB RAM (no idea on speed or latency)
GigE connection

He currently runs 6 other virtual machines on there, one hosting a website, one hosting email and a couple of others running only IRC bouncers.

Does anyone know the impact a full 20 man server, playing Bridge would have?

Thanks.

Very little (few % cpu, 100-200 MB mem, and a tiny bit of net).

In 2.5 u can shoot thru smoke cause u can see the red dot when u pointing on enemy, something that they removed in 2.8

Do you still see your "red dot" when opfor is 50 meters away? If yes, gimme you BT ID please... [lol]

P.s. 2 i'm tired of reading how hackers are killing the game! They're not kiilling the game as much as the player base's immobility and lack of interest does! Also I play America's Army almost daily, and i can still have fun (yes i am still able to get "kills" and i even get called "hacker" sometimes).

That's my boy! Finally some realistic judgement of the situation.
