We are not activating any new accounts until further notice.
I can't say I'm a fan of this policy, especially in a game with so few players like AA 2.5 is right now.

"So on the 16th of August training will become MANDATORY again, If you have not completed your basic training by then you will not be able to play. You have 2 weeks to get qualified."

From the OP, so after the two weeks people can't make accounts anymore? I am probably misunderstanding, but that makes it seem like you guys will shut down the training then so nobody can play unless they have done the training before that date.
No, what that means is that currently you can still play without completing training. They gave people some time to do the training before it actually becomes mandatory to play. In other words, you can still create an account, you just have to do training before you can play.

Keyboard cowboys. I think this is one area where I disagree with you Killa. Trolling isn't done to enjoy other people's misery, it's done to laugh at how pissed off a person gets. If you get upset over a video game, you've got odd priorities.
Getting upset over a video game is something like getting mad when you die. Getting upset at a hacker ruining your fun is a completely different story. Not to mention most of the "trolling" is done not in game but on this forum where people just want to talk.

Enjoying other people's misery and laughing at people getting mad is essentially the same thing. Maybe misery was too strong of a word to use, but I can't think of anything that would fit perfectly right now.

Point is,  people are simply trying to have fun and if you enjoy ruining that, there is something wrong with your life.

You must find me real pathetic then eh Killa?
If that's what you enjoy doing, then yes. I'm not going to change my opinion because we've known each other for a while. It's a complete bitch move because you act like a douche on the internet but not in real life because there are actually consequences for doing so in real life. What do they call those people? keyboard warriors? It's something like that.

Ganja knows. There are some that will say everybody is a good person. I don't know that I wholly agree with that but you can't judge someone based upon what they do over a public forum. There's a lot of people that act like fakes. When you get a chance to talk to someone outside a public forum, you can get more of a sense of who they are, even though it's still over the Internet. The facade breaks down and the real person comes out, at least that's my experience.

As someone who gets annoyed with some people in AA, I totally understand and agree with Pit's actions.
As a admin/dev who likes contributing to this project and wants AA to remain classic and fun, Pit should be banned.

It all depends on how you look at it.
I find someone that intentionally acts like a douche on the internet to be incredibly pathetic, regardless of how nice they are in real life. If you enjoy spoiling other people's fun, you're not a good person. It's as simple as that. I don't give a fuck if you're the nicest guy in real life, you're still getting enjoyment out of people's misery. Them being strangers doesn't make it morally OK. Also, punishing everybody because you don't like some people in the community is incredibly immature.

Pit did put a lot of work into this community at one stage, Its a shame he went to the dark side.
How so? He was hated by most of the community and the first major turmoil this project saw was under him. We had the whole banning without evidence thing too. I defended him at first but it became too apparent that he didn't give a shit what the community thought. He never even put out an update despite a ton of mAAp updates that needed to go through.

For the last time, Pit's not trolling. Trolling required some people to think you're serious. Trolls don't proclaim themselves to be trolls as that would defeat the entire purpose of trolling. Pit is just a douche bag.

I kinda like him, very relatable guy. Does he belong in AA? No, but neither do I. I don't hate him.
The guy ruins other people's fun for his own amusement.... Pretty damn pathetic.

It may not be true but it just looks like you guys don't ban him because he is a friend of yours.
hahahaha. No, everyone hates Pit. He has 0 friends (probably in real life too since he spends his free time hacking a video game).  He's the entire reason accounts have to be verified by an Assist admin now. It's not that we didn't ban Pit, it's that Pit keeps making more and more accounts.

I think 3 would be the best option. It's not like it takes up much space.

In that case remove it as a changeable item, you are the admins here. But telling people it's stupid to change an in game item and making it a bit faster to do so people do not have to wait in setup rounds when you play scrims is a bit stupid in my opinion.

I do understand your point of view though, it's best if everyone got exactly the same settings. And if you want to change that in Assist I really applaud that, but in that case also make sure you take out some unneeded settings in AA which only makes the game less fluent.
That would be suicide for AA25. So many "pros" use this tweaking and would get all pissed off and possibly leave. We can't really afford to lose any players.

It should be set to windowed mode by default, I notice he has an ASUS gpu, i don't know how good asus drivers are for direct3d?

Edit, no it does not, am changing packages to set windowed mode as default.

Doesn't matter. AMD provides the drivers, not ASUS. ASUS merely manufactures the cards and provides a download to the drivers AMD gives them.

I think the main problem with the cut off date is that some veteran players might not have had a battletracker account until they needed one to play when auth went down.
