mAAp Project / Re: SF Extraction Fix
« on: Monday, August 12, 2013, 16:06:24 PM »
Every time someone talks about "making maps more even" i think of that in a competitive way, Extraction is a great pub map, since the competition is none nowadays, in my humble opinion, we shouln't have that kind of change, take the Radio Tower example, it's (could be) probably the most defensive sided map AA has, although pubbing there is awsome. Most of the players like quick rounds and close quarter combat, and somehow Extraction can give you that...

Btw i voted no.
My point of view is that nobody likes being spawn raped. Even in a pub, there is nothing more frustrating than not being able to leave spawn without dying. The only people that find that scenario fun is the team that gets the huge unfair advantage.

I'd really appreciate it if the people that vote post and say why they voted what they did.

mAAp Project / SF Extraction Fix
« on: Monday, August 12, 2013, 15:22:30 PM »
So, as most of you that have played SF Extraction know, the random spawns are less than ideal. Half the time one team can't even get out of their spawn the other team spawns so close and spams.

So my question is this, would you guys be in favor of 2 permanent spawns in SF Extraction to make it a fairer map? I know the community is usually resistant on changing  official maps but I believe that this change would definitely be for the better.

username account Bens
got message
The 2.5Assist Admmin team have refused to activate this account, Most likely you already have an account. We no longer allow people to create mutiple accounts
Oh, that explains it. For some reason an admin has refused your account activation, possibly a shared IP with another account or a shared hardware ID.

That's odd. The BT accounts exist but they're not popping up in the activation wait list. Trying logging on to Assist again.

Honor Claims / Re: Account Claim: [oR.osiris]
« on: Sunday, August 11, 2013, 23:17:51 PM »
Are you fucking serious?  First of all, as I said I did not create the account osiris888 so clearly I don't know the password to it.  Second of all, even if I did create it, don't you think I would have tried logging in to it?

Wow
Updating honor is the extent of our control over BT accounts. Anything else needs to be taken up with them. He was just trying to help and we'd appreciate it if you'd stop acting like a dick.

General Chat / Re: Leadership elections

If he dont have any proof he can ban ppl thats it. Now when he cant ban the cheater he starts to cheat himself. WTF is that?? He performs as a kid and when he does not get what he wants so he wants revenge. Ban him and NEVER remove it. Jonny has made too many missteps in recent times to remain as leader. Providing free ticket to the cheater is a big sign of weakness from a leader who not dare stand against cheaters.
AA25 has been as popular as ever under Jonny. He made this. Too many missteps? Name one besides the whole Pit fiasco (which is debatable). The truth is, this game is rolling better than it ever did under Pit. We've got a ton of newly converted maps, SAI being added, training coming back. So many great things for this game are happening but you're focused on one perceived negative event.

Thats all there is to know.
What about the rest of my post? About the training requirement? Why would that not work?

I completely understand your viewpoint. Try to make amends and get rid of the headache of banning Pit. but on the other hand, it's not fair to the other people that got banned for lighter offenses.

Can you not see the collateral damage of trying to keep pit out? we have over 100 new players waiting for activation.
Wasn't the whole training requirement supposed to stop people from creating a ton of accounts to circumvent bans like Pit did? Or was he getting through some other way? That's another thing, nobody really knows what is going on, only that you decided to unban Pit because ti was too hard to keep him out.

Because I want to be freed of this nightmare job!
Well I'm sorry you feel that way. Nobody is forcing anything upon you. Running a game is difficult work, which is usually why a lot of people get paid to do it for most games. You're just doing it out of the love for the game. People are going to disagree with you (I already did) but you can either ignore it or try to work with the community.A lot of people, including me, just don't like certain players getting preferential treatment. So many others get banned forever yet the biggest and loudest hackers get another shot? It's not fair. Surly you can understand people's frustration.

It doesn't have to be this be all end all situation of either people love what you want to do or you quit. If you really want to quit again, I don't think anybody would hold it against you though.

Some people here are making a big fuss about a recent important judgment call I have made, I still believe its the right thing to do, we cannot go on fighting people all the time, we have to at some point resolve our differences if we are to move on.

I believe i still have majority support for my leadership of this project but I think we should have a democratic election. There will now be a vote, Should JonnyM resign his leadership of the project?

If I loose I will complete the upcoming update but thats it, i walk.
If I win all you hatters need to shut the hell up and support my decisions.
Is this even serious? Some may question the choices you make, but I don't think ANYBODY questions whether you're the right leader for this project.

I'm not sure why you're making this all or nothing when it shouldn't be.

This signature is old and I'm not quite sure what you're getting at.

Killa, you said let actions speak for a person, I agree. Let's see how Pit acts.
We already did, and it was not good. We can't just give out second chances whenever the hell we feel like it. It's a bad way to run a project. "Zero tolerance!, unless we don't feel like it."  If Pit's dumbass deserves a second chance so do a lot of other people caught hacking.

Hey everyone, let this shit rest.
OR I KILL THE KITTY

You unbanned the biggest hacker we've had in a while. The same guy that was a complete dick on the forums too. What did you expect? Sunshine and rainbows?

huh ?? it's because he was so pissed that he couldn't prove anything against people
who did indeed use hacks and mocked him on the forums with the support of a lot of
hypocrits that he went berzerk afterwards. At least acknowledge it and don't be one yourself.
Wait, so you're changing your argument from "he was doing good by hacking against hackers" to "he went crazy after he left." ? Seriously? How are either of those situations good anyways?

General Chat / Re: Pit23 is unbanned

Point is you were not in charge at the time when Pit was, so you're not in position
to make any point anyway.
Nice dodge. How is that even relevant? Why do I need to be in charge to realize what he did after he quit the project was wrong? This literally has nothing to do with his time as the head of the project.

For the record though, I was an admin, and he had 3 admins quit under his "rule," 2 of which were because they didn't like how he was running things. I'm not sure why Spanky quit.
