Ban Appeals / Re: Ban macro
« on: Thursday, March 24, 2016, 11:57:52 AM »
Ignorantia juris non excusat - not knowing a law does not excuse one from obeying it.

Also, this still applies:
Gbsmito!;^

First Macro ban, 1 week HW ban, permanent ban on the BT account.

In a week the user can create a new account, try and login and then post an appeal, we will then activate the new account(And your Hardware)

In other words, your previous account is permanently banned. If you want to keep on playing, you need to create a new account and log in to Assist. We can then activate the new account.

Feedback & Suggestions / Re: Mk12 SPR improvement
« on: Thursday, March 24, 2016, 02:23:20 AM »
I don't see a single reason why the SPR should be replaced with the M24. We've messed with original maps enough to not want to go through it again.

RPG has been kinda neutral subject for me, but now I've seen another issue it is showing up. Many takes VIP slot just to gain most points in team to be able to choose RPG first for the next set. At this point it sounds still reasonable, doesn't it? But the issue appears when some of players starts pointwhoring during that set, thinking only about own points. Rushing all the time from underpass, if it's success then he gets the most score, if not - no one gets the score. Then when some figures out their score is enough, they kill themselves in order to get set ending faster and they get the RPG faster as well. I just wonder how some can be this greedy and disrespectful at the same time...
There have always and always will be people who think only of their own points. They used to gather points to get the SF, now they collect point for the RPG, not much has changed in that respect.

Feedback & Suggestions / Re: Mk12 SPR improvement
« on: Wednesday, March 23, 2016, 18:11:03 PM »
I'm not entirely sure where you got this information. The SPR (or rather the Mark 12) is a derivative/modification of an M16 rifle and therefore fires the exact same ammo - the NATO 5.56x45mm (i.e the weight is the same). Yet the SPR's muzzle velocity is smaller. So therefore the impacting kinetic energy for the SPR is smaller than the M16 and it should therefore do less damage than the standard M16.
The reason such a modification has been made is to increase the effective range and not it's damage.

Assist Support / Re: Assist CRASH with segfault in Linux after successful login

I've got a feeling it might have something to do with "show poll" critical error as that's the most recent "change" to Assist - the polls section was never really meant for polls with so many choices.

The poll went live Tuesday evening and it damn well suites the timeline as well.

Not entirely sure, though.

« on: Monday, March 21, 2016, 19:36:53 PM »
What I was wondering was. If you are on wikipedia (It was lazyness Koden :) ) You should be able to edit material on your self. SO the Guy Kent Hovind is not allowed to edit his. You know thw Dr Dino guy?
I don't think there is (or ever will be) pages this would apply to.
If I understand you correctly, that is, and you're saying if someone has a page about them they should be able to edit it.

I must have drunk like 30 beers, all costing around 5£ ... I'm afraid to look at my bank statement to see what's left.

Anyway, it was definitely a memorable trip :)

Ever heard about Wikipedia? The key word is responsibility of course, and edits have to be approved before being published, I believe.

Moved your post to the original news article so you can easily read and eventually follow the thread.
Right now you need an account with privileges to edit or add pages. It's because we kept having bots posting all kinds of trash and couldn't be bothered to fix the bot verification.

But if you have ideas on how to improve the wiki or wish to contribute there, I'm sure we could work something out.

The Lounge / Re: Anyone in London this weekend?
« on: Monday, March 21, 2016, 19:05:39 PM »
If you were in Scotland I would have made the effort. I was looking forward to showing Reaper from -ACI- Around Scotland but before he got here . He broke his arms and we never manage to meet. So hope you have a great time. What part do you have in it?
I sang in the choir.
I also visited Wales (Llanelli), though.

That's a punishment for you not seeing the ambiguity there in the first place.

Yes, because I definitely didn't, you can't even see that in my first post on the thread :)

Haven't tried that specifically, but I have tried quite a lot of different beers. Mostly local, though. We've got a surprising amount of small breweries for such a small country :)

The thing is, when you compare the prices over Europe you must have in account the cost of life in that country, here in Lisbon if you pay 5 euros for a beer is pretty expensive since our medium salary it's something like 700/800 euros/month but for a swiss or a nordic guy 5 euros must be cheap since they make 4000/5000 euros/month. I went to Czech Republic 2 years ago in the summer and is really cool, not only culturally but also the booze, the girls are great and the prices are really fair. But i would advise Hungary/Budapest i can't even put it in words... it's simply amazing.
You're totally correct. Plus, if you went somewhere more than 10 years ago, you would need to take into account inflation as well...
That's why it's easier to talk in relative terms. So if I live here in Estonia and I go somewhere where (for me) beer is cheap, I'll call it cheap. If someone comes to the same place from somewhere where everything is even cheaper, they might call it expensive. It's just comparing it to your own country/wages.

I've been to Budapest, it truly was a very nice place! :) It was around 6 years ago, but looking down at the river from the castle was magical!
