OOOOOOOOOK fixed, but it's only a little lie that can help the cause... it's not a cheat :D

so, now, the most important things is "how to send this ADV/DEM by mail or other way...

Battletracker accounts are linked to emails, but most likely several of those accounts are sitting in dust as much as the emails they're linked to. I remember Marten (AAODaily administrator) saying he had a list of players emails, of course the matter is the same as for the Battletracker accounts list.

On the other hand, if you have a chance of getting more directly to potential America's Army players you can also post this kind of message on forums (with the permission of their forum administrators). I'm not a Battlefield player myself but i guess there are several BF communities out there. Same might be worth for other communities (Arma, perhaps).

Anyway, you should polish your message a little more, imho :)

Tips: use more conventional fonts, work on the text message beforehand and format it to appear more homogeneous.

Hi all,
i am a web marketing analyst (and also an Italian America's Army old player)
i know is a little bit off-topic but, i tryed to know why "America's Army 2 nostalgic players" don't want play AA2.5 Assist..

  • 1st: there is not a competitive community (Italian community in particular)
  • 2nd: there are few players
  • 3rd: players play always the same maps (bridge crossing and Hospital)

these are the "problems" for them. I also asked if they found a free game like AA, and all the people says: "NO".

40% of them now are playing Battlefield 3
25% are playing other multiplayer games (not only FPS)
35% are no playing multiplayer games

The solution is (not simple) "CREATE A SOLID INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY"... How is the problem, we need something to "touch nostalgic players feelings and interest".

Another question is: "Can someone contact the old AAO developers (Virtual Heroes Studios) to create again a FPS like AAO2, maybe using the same source code?

I hope AAO 2 (AA2.5Assist) will return the most played game.

I think your survey's results seem to offer an answer, basically things changes and evolves with time and so does people. I would love to know why each of those people were after America's Army. Even tho Arma has been around for a while there must be still space for a game like a modern America's Army.

As for contacting Virtual Heroes, they made several games around similar or maybe identical version of the game engine used by AA2, but of course the America's Army client its binded to the EULA (and the source code it's probably going to be partially binded to 3rd parties too):

All the effort and work that Eliz, Possessed and Sergio have done is outstanding and while the visible effects might be more subtle than what you expect there truly are plenty of chances for a cleaner gameplay.

I'm really starting to wonder why this wasn't an issue from 2002 up to 2006 or 2007 at the very least. Maybe those playing back then were 90% special forces or resembled some kind of elite.

Hmmm now i'm really concerned about the Valve combines that will be after you  :P jokes aside it's fine to me, the Pipeline's barrel are just a bit "fatter" than the skinny HL ones.

Yea, I had to distort the texture but it doesn't look horribly bad. It's not like we're selling mAAp and making a huge profit off of it. I honestly was just browsing Google Image results and came across that texture. I thought someone independent had made it. Never thought someone ripped it out of Half-Life and stuck it on the internet...
