Shad, there's nothing stopping you from building a better version. Hell, I think everybody here would encourage you do to so. The only limiting thing is the effort/reward for updating the Assist client. I'm sure if you make a new version that it will be implemented when ELiZ feels it's worthwhile to do so.

Less writes = better. Writes are what kill SSD's since each cell of the NAND memory only has a certain amount. Using a wiping program once won't kill it but if you do it on a daily or weekly schedule, it's not good. Same for defragmenting. It's best to use the Samsung Magician software to set the drive up, enable over-provisioning, os optimization and RAPID if your SSD supports it.

There are plenty of brands that I don't trust. Samsung is the world leader in memory production if I'm not mistaken. They have a lot of high end devices. If I were looking for a SSD for a server or some critical environment with lots of disk writes, I wouldn't look at the EVO. However, for desktop use, it's plenty good. Any drive can fail so it's good to have backups just in case.
Good SSD's are meant to have tons of terabytes put on them, if not a petabyte or two. I've had my Samsung 830 Pro (yes, 830, not 840) for 2 years and have only written 13.31 terabytes to it. I've done tons of game installs, uninstalls, file juggling for AA stuff, re-installing Windows and not to mention data backup for customers. Samsung includes awesome software to enable over-provisioning (for wear leveling) and OS reliability optimization. I'm confident that the EVO drives will live long enough to be outdated and replaced by a much faster model. After 2 years, my 830 already feels sluggish and I have 3 years left on the warranty. It's not that something is wrong with the drive, I've just gotten used to the insane speed bump and am ready for the next level.

You can regularly find the EVO version for around $80. 3 Year warranty and actually better speeds than the Pro.

PunkBuster hasn't updated PB for AA in a long time. Assist comes with the latest version installed. If there are any problems, the "Fix PB" button in Assist should solve it. Slot Closed is something unrelated and usually to do with Assist and it's authorization server. It just happens that the message is broadcasted by PunkBuster, it's not actually a PunkBuster error. Pretty sure anyway.

GPU's are expensive, good RAM isn't. If I had the $$ for a GPU, I'd get some sweet RAM too. Although, mine's good enough for my AMD chip, if I went to Intel, I'd probably go for 2400MHz or something.
I would be surprised that in gaming it wouldn't be noticeable. Things are swapped in and out of RAM constantly in games, it should help out. Also, if you happen to get a Samsung SSD, you can use RAPID which will use your RAM to boost read/write speeds. I've seen over 1GB/s read speeds on 2133MHz memory and a Samsung 840 EVO.

Forget that shit homie, it's old. 2133MHz for Intel is a good starting point. Those IMC's are great at handling high clocks.

lol, thanks Brahva. xD I'm talking about the 'Simon Says' server. This was the damage incorporated server, which has been renames to include my real name. I know it's the damage incorporated server with a new name as it is the same IP address. I remember Joe did the same thing to Carmy about two years ago, the server was removed and that was the start of Joe's 6 month ban. The same thing happened to Bumpy, again, the server was removed right away. Now it's my turn, it has now been two days since my real name was used as a server name and it's still online. No replies from any of my messages from the Assist admins, so I can only assume this is favouritism of some kind, siding with the person who changed the name in order to go against me. I might be wrong, but from my point of view, I doubt it.
