General Chat / Re: Offline Play
« on: Sunday, February 10, 2013, 12:49:49 PM »Hi, I was just wondering if there was a way to get to the single player missions that came with the game origionally. I know that you need to go through the training and everything to get to them which you can't now 'cos the original servers aint up, bu is there a file or something i could alter to fool the game into unlocking everything. I missed the game when it was originally released so didn't get to play those
Original missions? If you want to play any mission, no matter what, you simply need to start the game, open the console and type start *mission_name*
e.g.
Code: [Select]
start hospital Code: [Select]
start live_jumpTo get the exact file name of the mission you want to play offline, just look into your map folder (inside the game folder, for AA25 Assist install is placed into an AppData folder like -> C:\Users\x\AppData\Roaming\25Assist where x is your pc user name).
Of course, upon starting the map you might need/want to get an equipment of choice, to do that, type mpcheat class *class name*
e.g.
Code: [Select]
mpcheat class r
mpcheat class d
mpcheat class gp
mpcheat class g
mpcheat class s
and so on.You can find several console commands lists by looking over Google, too (or even in the official online game manual).

General Chat / Re: where do i download aa 2.5?
« on: Friday, February 08, 2013, 15:43:38 PM »I think there is some confusion in here...
He said that link and i only said:
Don't know if anyone did open that link but it's forwarding for the same address that Goose gave.
You guys are reporting issues to find the download in this forum site right? Because in the www.aa25.org i think it is pretty clear where to go...
Agree, even a basic google search query points there. It's just fine.

« on: Wednesday, February 06, 2013, 15:24:02 PM »Also removed bug fixes implemented by Koden. Good to see the whining whores still controlling the game.
Yep completely removed. They weren't really bug fixes but rather exploit or "zone" fixes (place where people isn't supposed to be). Ultimately whoring is the major bug we can't really fix

General Chat / Re: How to activate MINI MAP in the game?
« on: Monday, February 04, 2013, 15:21:55 PM »But the previous version of 2.5 had a SAI or a mini map.. Why did they took it away? Now i Can't figure what's the purpose of the letter "u" (report in) in the game if we don't have a mini map to see it.
Well, when you report in you give the location where you are at. Isn't that a useful piece of info? Of course the radar would be a lot more useful, but i can't honestly tell you if there's a chance to create one. Hiroku, i'll take that you mean 2.8.5 because i don't think 2.4 ever featured a radar or such thing (you can lookup a few videos on youtube for that matter).

Its called SAI, there's no thing as such in this version. Actually, there was a basic Unrealscript made one, but being too easy to exploit it can't be used.

The roof you mean? Modification alone (it was discussed on the forums too) about 7/8 months ago i think, it was released early in January with 7.2 .

Hardware/Software / Re: X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty vs. Asus Xonar D2. And Headset?
« on: Wednesday, January 30, 2013, 12:46:20 PM »Ehhhhh. There's no need for ANY of the X-Fi software though. Windows has built-in mixer and volume controls and that's all anyone needs. Clean, pure and minimal signal path is more important. When you're running the audio through extra chips and processors (software or hardware) you're handling the audio more than it needs to be. I've had the X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty card and I don't miss any of it's features (including the buggy drivers). Environmental audio in game engines is rendered in real time on the CPU these days that's why most all new games don't mention EAX or X-Fi. I've said it before & I'll say it again, EAX doesn't improve quality, they're filters and settings that might make things sound more realistic (reverberation, delay & decay) but ONLY if the developers used them properly (more often than not, AA devs didn't).
Not much difference between deer shit and sheep shit eh?
Way to go for using a low end set and a crappy audio card to test it on a poor quality source, like a compressed audio file...when i had that Xonar DS i ended up noticing the difference only with a quality audio source and a decent pair of headset, there is no way that a sound card might transform a couple of trash cans to create a better sound...a reason to avoid Creative marketing powered cards.

I used to play on a pc with a Xonar DS (the cheaper one between Asus cards). It works about fine. Is there anything about the hd 555 that you don't like (for gaming purposes)? Btw avoiding Creative cards would be the first step.

That would be cool! Meeting people, having a good time, a nice advertising potential too
one thing tho, i haven't any experience of game LAN, if it is that big (is it in the order of a hundred/more players?) i guess there has to be a sponsor or such that supports with places and the expenses.
