I'm tempted to unban right now. Here's why:

- Most hackers that get caught by our system won't bother to appeal because they know they're guilty so they'll move to 2.8.5 and never set foot on this forum.
- This guy came here with a consistent story that has stood up to all of our questions.
- This guy has no other accounts or computers and has not shown suspicious behavior. He does have 2 IP's but one is Verizon Wireless and the other is Comcast, likely mobile phone and home internet.
- This guy has been patient over 4 days since posting here, asking nicely and never flaming.
- Assist copies the whole pre-installed 2.5 folder, it is possible that his story of downloading a 2.5 torrent is legit. The day this guy started playing, he was banned, it's not like he was playing for a month and then all of the sudden got banned.
- He only had possession of the hacks which is detected even if you use it properly. There's no log saying that he got kicked for using the hacks, he just had them in the System folder.

Unless Jonny or the other admins say no, I think this guy should be unbanned and put on the watch list.

i agree with that.... His Aliby holds up enough to cause reasonable doubt... especially if he's banned the first time he played...

i know some may say '0 tolerance'... but i cant honestly say he's guilty beyond reasonable doubt, and it would really suck if you were in his shoes and the small chance of that happening, happens to you.

I don't believe this for many people who post here, but imo, give the guy the benefit of the doubt.

I would'nt spend too much time working on this project, i've got a feeling some new hacks be coming out soon that we can't detect.

 

cant get this to work in 2.5

'SetConsoleWidth <#> - Set to 99 for longer messages in the console</key>'

i type 'setconsolewidth 99' and get unrecongnized command in 2.5... worked in 2.8 and ect...

anybody kno the command or if it exists for 2.5?

So before last night, I've never even heard of sleep paralysis... but after experiencing it, had to look it up.

my story is pretty crazy, i woke up at like 5am to some kind of buzzing noise, loud, real loud.... like buzzing isnt the right word... idk, just a weird like, technology sound or somethin... idk, something only robot ears could hear... and i could only hear it in my left ear anyways, i couldnt lift my head, my arms or legs...or even roll over for that matter, i tried pretty hard... to move anything... and was just stuck...i could hear somebody saying my name 3 or 4x, like not with my ears, but inside my head... and eventually i responded with an angry "WHAT!? THE EFF YOU WANT?"(in my head) and it stopped.... i was pretty terrified at this point, couldnt yell or do anything.... and as soon as that weird noise stopped, i could move and everything was kinda normal, felt super exhausted...could of easily went back to sleep but got up to smoke a cig and a bowl and determine wtf just happened.



well ive looked into it a little, some believe its a spirit of an evil old hag that sits on you and holds you down... or some kind of evil something.

Medical experts say its just when your in a state somewhere between being asleep and awake.

not sure what i lean towards, i just know that its definitely weird and kinda lean towards the medical experts being i didnt actually see an evil being or anything....but the weird calling of my name and shit, idk, was too real.... but the whole experience just seems so, abnormal and bizzare.

any opinions on this sort of thing? any similar experience?

this same thing happened to me, except it was on urban assault... dont think its maap related...

edit: and i assume the 4 other players on the server crashed too, being as, the server was empty when i loaded back up assist.... (but maybe if a couple of us crashed, the rest could of quit...not sure)

As a video, thats pretty good. I like the moving pictures thing going on. But as for the song ....... nuts don't cut it.

...after playin aao so long, i just assumed leaven worth was horrible. next assist up date MUST have a Leavenworth similar to this, or ill rage quit.
