I personally don't like this rule, but I don't make the rules. I feel like exceptions should be made in these cases.

Ban Appeals / Re: Dav3
« on: Saturday, January 11, 2014, 02:17:33 AM »
Lesson? This is a shooter game, talking smack is usually encouraged and quite the norm in any other game you play, especially violent or FPS games. - PC, xbox, ps. The only reason I was banned is because it was another power move by admins who have a personal grudge against me for voicing opinions that they dont agree with.

If anything it should have been a server issue - warn, mute then boot the player.

Its not like I was dropping racism or threats or hacking or anything.

I was talking shit in a fps game....."Lesson learned" I now know I have to act as if this is televised chess tournament and only give complements to people.
There is a big difference between "taking shit" and harassment. Talking shit is an occasional jab at someone. What you did is considered harassment. The continual insulting of a player for no apparent reason. You better learn this as it applies to real life as well, and the punishment for it is much harsher than a temporary video game ban.

By the way, your posts aren't making your situation any better. Perhaps it would be best to just keep your mouth shut.

Ban Appeals / Re: Still banned
« on: Friday, January 10, 2014, 20:58:32 PM »
How cute, you missed the game. Take a look at the ban text again, specifically the word "reconsidered". Your ban hasn't been reconsidered. If you'd like to appeal your ban, open your eyes and look at this forum, there's something you seem to have missed:

http://aao25.com/ban-appeals-98/appealing-an-ban/msg27097/#msg27097
I was under the impression his ban would expire unless you guys deemed it shouldn't. I don't see why he should have to appeal it to get it undone. He hasn't caused any more trouble on the forums.

General Chat / Re: All mature leader?
« on: Friday, January 10, 2014, 13:57:17 PM »
Apparently not you, an you a leader here?
Wow really? So many little ass holes jumping all over the guy for nothing, just like what I got. No wonder i tk you clowns. I seen one sensible guy in here since I came in. Well 2 if I include Wicked :)

Yeah, I've got some bad news for you as well. Nobody cares about this either.
We're all (everybody, not just the admins) sick of people coming to us bitching about server stuff we can't do anything about. Why should we care about them? It's especially annoying when it's the same person that does it over and over again. Sorry if it seemed a little harsh, but nobody seemed to get it when we told them politely that we can't do anything about server issues.

If you want to talk about maturity, be a mature adult and solve your own problems instead of running to AAO25 every time.

just asking a question ,  you guys are so uptight , I just need witnesses to look at it from a fair point of view, not a single me out point of view . I don't take this personal but I do have a right to ask questions right?
It's not that we're uptight or anything, it's that we get so many posts here about issues AAO25 has nothing to do with. We don't control server bans. We're kinda tired of seeing all these personal squabbles brought here.

What exactly do you want from us? To tell you if you're right or wrong? I have some bad news, nobody here really cares.

Support / Re: battletracker admin's never online
« on: Thursday, January 09, 2014, 18:26:31 PM »
I know it has been discussed before when Jonny was here, but simply put, there are more important things to focus on right now. BT works wonderfully and the only downside is the lack of admin activity over there. I don't see how it would be worth the time investment that would be required to make a tracker.

better implement a side-switch after 6rnds like on tournament-mode or aa3. would be a good thing for all "def" and "frag"-whores and change the mentality...
This would be great if possible.

General Chat / Re: AA25 Assist wont let me play :-(
« on: Tuesday, January 07, 2014, 17:34:29 PM »
Hi !

I installed AA2.5 Assist a while ago and updated may honor which was 72 and joined and played on servers normally. But now when I try to join servers assist warns me that I am not qualified and that I have to complete basic training. Well I completed all the training missions years ago and I am not looking forward to do all those boring missions again.
Can you please tell me is this normal and is there a way that I can avoid doing training missions again.

Tnx.
If your battletracker account was created before Januray 1st 2012 you do not need to do training. If it was created after, you will have to do the training over again.

I don't see random spawns ever getting implemented. There would be too much player backlash, even if the majority seems to want it. We can't afford to lose any players.

At least the Alpha leader spot on one of the teams doesn't force SF but forces m16.
Also, just like it's done on impact, is there anything polygon related you can change about the fps on the map? Heard several players (including myself) say it's really graphically demanding which is logical, but it would be awesome if there's anything you could do.
The weapon spawns have already been fixed for the next release. The AA3 maps are already optimized very well so if there is any thing that can be done, it isn't going to do much.

Ganja you buddy with rapture and them all the time , I never see you our server , free kills? i seen alot of rage quitting in our server , frag rate metrosexuals  ,your just use to playing in servers were they joke alot , the admin will say "Behind you" you joke around 24 7 on ts , can't hear shit in the game, in AAS we are hardcore gamers we  are not buddy buddy with every person like that unless you spend time on ts with us , and when we are in ts we like to hear sounds of the game , not laugh and giggle and say the same things over and over like a weirdo ,  Can't prove certain hacks anyways but the numbers never lie . So like spanky said admins can ban whoever they want , as long they don't f around with the assist system . and yes we do not need proof to ban , you can say ohhh that makes you guys look bad etc , the same bad things said about us , are no different from all the negative talk about assist and how they run thiings , words like that will never affect me or any of my clan mates personal life, I know dudes that snatched up wives playing this game even if that happen to me it will still not affect me . We are cool we respect people but our server AAS is designed for Hardcore Gaming . "hardCore Gaming" No bs .

hahahaha. This is one of the better posts I've read in a long time. Thanks for that.

I added playerblocks to the fences by assault spawn so people can't jump on them. I also fixed west entrance and having to jump to get in the door. I'm not going to touch the railings in main pump room for now. Were they higher in AA3? Does anyone remember?

Well, it's just programming. Full volume is 255 on the scale. You can't set it to be 300 or 400.
Right, but aren't some sounds louder by default? As in, one is louder than another at the same volume in Unreal Ed.
