I guess I should clarify a bit. I have figured out how to manually start the server and everything works fine, except my admin password isn't working because admin commands don't work when I am in the server.

I cannot figure out why Assist Server Manager doesn't launch the server correctly, or why the map choice dropdown menu is empty, even though all of the maps are in the /maps folder.

Server Manager defaulted to Bridge before, but I changed the server.ini to MOUT McKenna and now Server Manager shows MOUT McKenna as the default, but still no list of maps in the drop-down menu. Manually starting the server does indeed load MOUT McKenna like my .ini tells it to.

I believe there are some outstanding issues with the server manager itself. I recall seeing a similar issue last time I played around with it and wasn't able to find a workaround, although I can't say I tried for long. Your best bet is to run the server as you have for the time being - manually modifying the appropriate configuration files and running the server executable.

The first link (installation package) appears to be outdated. Both packages you'll need can be found below:

You'll have to install any required dependencies (in my case glibc.i686 and libstdc++.i686) as well as ensure the correct ports are open.

There's many threads regarding server setup and configuration all about the forums if you search, but I'm sure you can also reply back with any specific questions or hop in our Discord and another member of the community may be willing to help you out!

I have (somewhat) recently set up a Linux server using the files provided below. I haven't used the server manager recently, but the title of your thread seems to suggest you're alright with the alternative, so hopefully this helps!

Your account was automatically activated so you should be good to go.

Firstly, to address the obvious—this post is clearly referencing a specific individual who has been banned from the game. It is extraordinarily rare for someone to be banned from Assist in 2025, especially for reasons other than cheating.

Secondly, as we've stated previously, we're not sitting around and monitoring in-game chat logs. If you notice someone using slurs, engaging in targeted harassment, or any similar behavior, you can PM evidence to anyone on the team and it will be reviewed and discussed. The priority is to maintain a welcoming environment for all players—both new and returning.

It is also important to mention that, without getting into specifics, there can be many underlying reasons why someone was banned and why a ban hasn't been lifted. Alex has already shared some additional insight in the other thread but even so, there is more to be taken into consideration than may meet the eye.

Lastly, implementing a code of conduct, community guidelines, or something to that effect, certainly couldn't hurt. However, I’d wager that the vast majority of players have nothing to worry about and would find limited value in guidelines that would likely boil down to: don’t cheat and try to show at least a basic level of respect for others in this community.

Perhaps some others can chime in with their opinions but what I've outlined above is my own.
