General Chat / Re: 7426 Hours Played — Great Game but Server Admin Issues
« on: Saturday, February 21, 2026, 17:17:10 PM »
Hi, thank you for your reply and for taking the time to read my post. I want to clarify that my intention was not to complain about anyone personally, nor to make claims against any server admin.

My post was meant as a review and reflection on my experience with the game after thousands of hours played. The issue I was trying to highlight is that I was banned from several private servers despite never using hacks or cheating. My goal was simply to express how this affects my ability to play, not to attack anyone.

I appreciate that you understand the limitations of what 25Assist can do. I just wanted to make sure it was clear that my frustration comes from being unfairly labeled as a hacker, not from personal differences with the server admins.

I still love the game and I hope my post can help others understand the situation in a constructive way.

General Chat / 7426 Hours Played — Great Game but Server Admin Issues

I’ve invested 7,426 hours into America's Army: Proving Grounds. I’m not writing this as someone who just discovered the game, but as someone who has lived through almost every stage of its lifespan.

For me, it remains one of the best tactical shooters ever made. There is nothing else that replicates its round-based tension, where every movement matters and a single mistake can end your round. It’s not about mindless reflexes — it’s about positioning, map awareness, patience, communication, and precision. When both teams are coordinated and the server runs smoothly, the experience is simply outstanding.

The problem is not the game.

The problem is its current ecosystem.

Since the game is now sustained almost entirely by private servers, the overall experience depends heavily on small groups of administrators. And in small communities where everyone knows each other, decisions don’t always feel fully transparent or strictly evidence-based. Sometimes they seem influenced by personal perceptions or internal dynamics rather than clear, objective standards.

When a long-time player with thousands of hours ends up limited to high-ping servers because of labels applied without solid proof, it becomes frustrating. Not because rules shouldn’t exist — they absolutely should — but because fairness, transparency, and consistency are essential if a community wants to keep a game like this alive.

I still recommend this game wholeheartedly for its gameplay. In its niche, it’s exceptional.

But new players should understand that today, their experience will depend less on the design of the game itself and more on the culture and management of the server they choose.

The title deserves recognition.
Some communities deserve reflection.
