The most profound thing I've seen on Deadliest Catch (TV)
« on: Tuesday, June 08, 2010, 02:36:45 AM »
While enjoying the current season, I thought I would go back and re-cap the older episodes. I'll say that it was damn hard to hold back tears watching this. The raw emotion and gratitude shared towards the end when the captain (Jonathan) hugs the man he rescued is just overwhelming. Not to mention the concentration and horror in Jonathan's face while he's trying to maneuver the boat.

o.O I typed out the text I was going to post and uploaded the video. Now I come back and the text is gone... Oh well. I'm surprised nobody was interested in this (or at least replied). I'm compelled to post about the last episode I've seen that recently aired. I know Captain Phil dies in the next episode on the 22nd and it was just emotionally tugging to see the ending of the last episode. Watch on:

Massive stroke at port and then died at the hospital. Years of stress, cigarettes and red bull will do that.

 :o @ the 2nd vid.

Knowing what happens next, that song they were playing @ 4:35 is really eerie.

That's half the reason why I included it. Maybe I'll upload the intro to the season, they did a really creepy start knowing Phil is dead.

*EDIT*
No need to, here's a halfway decent one: (hint: when you hear people talking about pulse and oxygen, that's Phil.)
