Oddly enough they still have separate ZoneInfo actors which means that there's 3 in the outside zone (not proper mapping).

Scumbag new devs messing up the old devs work.

Alright, I've made 2 versions;

SFhospital285clone.aao has the zoning removed in 3rd floor escort building but retains the ZoneInfo actors like the 2.8.5 version does.
SFhospital285proper.aao has the zoning removed but also the un-necessary ZoneInfo actors and Sunlight actors to make the map "proper".

If someone (actually 2 or more people) could test these and see if the issues are fixed, that would be great. If they are fixed, I would like to refine the map a little more, reducing file size and raising lighting quality. I WILL NOT CHANGE GAMEPLAY, just shadow quality improvements and hopefully file size reduction.

2.8.5 finished downloading and I opened the map. Forgive me for not knowing the locations (I never whored Hospital much), you're talking about 3rd floor escort versus that the high-point on the opposite side of the map? The roof with 2 large AC units, 3 small AC units and 2 skinny vents?

The only thing I'm seeing different is that on 2.8.5, the 2nd and 3rd floor ambush buildings are no longer zoned off. Oddly enough they still have separate ZoneInfo actors which means that there's 3 in the outside zone (not proper mapping). This could be the answer but I'll need someone to test it that is familiar with the glitch.

Correct usually only from each location looking at the other one.  Think the wwr is also a problem looking from the far helipad.

I can confirm that it's not only from both points. The other day i was shot buy a guy on roof, while i was laying in front of hospital entrance 2nd floor checking the roof with scope. After i got shot and switched to dead-corpse-view i saw that guy laying in front of the big two vents on the ledge. Imagine that!

Weird. I don't see anything changed on the West Wing Roof from 2.5 to 2.8. There's no Anti-Portals or zones that could make an object disappear, let alone a player. I still need someone to test the maps I posted above.

Plenty of US army well payed Beta testers and developers didn't solved this up to March 2007 (back in 2.8.1).

What about a tiny tiny Playerblock?

I could try to remove that lower area, where it's raised around the perimeter, I could make that roof 1 level surface.

I was on with Spanky earlier and we just couldn't replicate the bug lol. Neither of us play Hospital enough to figure out something like that. Although our knowledge of the game engine and editor says there shouldn't be anything fishy going on up there. However looking at the screen shot, I think the player only appears to disappear because of the angle the players see each other and where your eyes are placed. In America's Army, your players eyes are placed above their head. Yes, you read that correctly.

We'll fix this bug in the next release okay guys?
