spend 6 min aiming at same point. Realistic cugh cugh
That's actually a very small amount of time to be waiting in a defense situation. In reality you'd be talking about 6 hours more likely.

Well aiming and shooting are 2 different things.

I won't say anything else about this, because I hate bridge. To me it's one of the most boring maps out there lol

Hello,

Having read this thread, and being old school here are my 0.02 cents worth.

0.01 if you don't like a map, you don't need to play it.

0.01 being old school, if a map is being used by some too whore honor/points because of the maps design, why not just map it a non-honor/points map?

Ach Ganja,

Are we going to discuss the bridge now.My whole point was it is more fun to play maps with a realistic scenario that i can imagine to be happening in real situations of combat or war - the Game is called Americas Army - they would hardly shoot each other in a swimming pool or at paint ball and the last thing that could be happening that they fight in Yetis' lounge or bathroom  :D-

My whole point was to keep the game original and to get rid of the funny stuff. But if the majority likes it -
what can I say.

I like Steves' idea or suggestion
These maps should have no score or kills counted - like sf map versions of original map dont count
(Half the score and no kills)

As fun maps they don't appear in the stats - so why let them have an influence regarding score , kills

I also noticed  that some if not all of the 285 maps dont appear in the stats as well as all the aa3 maps -
(maybe thats why not so many people bother playing them)

Is there a way to change this ? (battletracker)

Everybody says they just play for fun - but I know that the majority of people dont and keep a close eye on frag rate etc. (including myself)

My whole point basically is to keep the game fair and competitive and close these loopholes where possible

Otherwise we can just all shoot around like lunatics  dont care about ROE and dont take the game serious whatsoever

Well thats the last i am gonna say - talking too much anyway and dont wanna repeat myself

Well the problem with the maps is the fact that since they were not originally part of 2.5, their names are now [285] Mapname instead of just the Mapname it was in 2.8.5. Now since the names differ, battletracker isn't tracking them fully.

As for 'fixing' it, yes, you're right, it's to do with Battletracker.
Unfortunately, though, battletracker admin (Homey) is very inactive and has been for a couple of years I guess.
And since he's the only one who could do such things, there's not much that we here can do.
Bare in mind, he was sent a PM asking him if it would be possible for him to do it, but there was (to my knowledge) no answer.

For the realism arguments here: The game is not, and has never been 100% for the realism. They only tried to keep close to the army values.

If we all go for realism arguments, I would like to get drones in now in order to just take out the annoying players every once in a while. That would be great since it is realistic.

When P-ball and poolday was first released it was the most popular maps out there for a while. I enjoyed pball, semi distance combat at it's finest. poolday can be alittle chaotic and hard to clutch on, which p-ball wasn't. Realism, come on. Like bart stated, don't even fucking go there.

I would kinda agree actually with not tracking maps like pbal or poolday, because you go there just to have fast kills, to make better aim so it's kinda training ...

I agree with yr scenario argument lord.

Why would we not track those maps? What is so bad about people getting fast kills?

Because they can be seen as training maps. Like Lord said, there isn't really a scenario. But yeah actually I don't really care about it, shouldn't have replied in here

Poolday, PBall and Tracking aren't the problem, but the ppl that make a bad use of them.
