Unofficial UnrealED Manual Version 0.5
« on: Tuesday, July 27, 2010, 20:48:29 PM »
I found maybe last week but I didn't open it until today. Some guy named Skarz made a help file for UnrealEd that comes up when you press F1. Pretty cool actually and when you think about it you can make your own where you can add stuff to look at while mapping. One thing I don't like about this is the file is from 1998 lol. Still an interesting resources and in my mind is an Unreal gem. A cool thing about this though is Tim Sweeney, the guy who made Unreal emailed this guy with information from the engine. So reading this you can see what a lot of options do and how much of the engine actually applies to legacy things.

Could you or Nate provide links to tutorials on how to map, and things that might be useful to know about as well?

Dann I think you should put those files into the editor and read them while following along with the tutorials in the files.

Lots of people say to read Wolf's tutorials but I've never touched those. But if your like me and can read a tutorial online and remember it then you can go here:

Personally I googled a lot of my knowledge but here's some resources I've used and probably still use:
Unreal Developer Network (Might need to do a lot of link clicking. Ever since UE3 came out they stopped caring for UE2; miss the old days) - http://udn.epicgames.com/Two/SiteMap.html

Unreal Wiki (A lot of resources for more in-depth information) - http://wiki.beyondunreal.com/

Hourences (Pretty smart guy. He had some other tutorials somewhere else but I can't find them) - http://www.hourences.com/book/tutorialsindex.htm

I agree with Blue. Which is kind of surprising since I have a weird learning style. Angel Mapper, Unreal Wiki and even the Hourences guy.. I guess you could say they made mAAp :)
