Your os load time seemed pretty darn slow. Having a ssd helps an amazing amount :)

Eh, nowhere near worth the expense. I have old SATA drives in RAID0 now, I plan to get new ones sometime. It's only $100 for 1TB of RAID0 goodness.

Blue, I realized that when I was trying to upload the video. It was originally 19 minutes but I just trimmed the boring GTA4 bit. 260MB took forever to upload :(

Haha, creative :P

I have been fussing with Medal of Honor Airborne and made some decent progress. I was able to play but there's rendering glitches and it crashed after a while, might have been my GPU overheating since I forgot to turn the fan up.

Added AA screenshots. Had to use a FOV of 135 and I just stretched it to the desktop in windowed mode.

Unreal doesn't seem to like wide resolutions. Its unfortunate that everything is rendered in a box =\ But UA looks really good.

Dirt 2 looks awesome though.

That FOV 135 trick I pulled from MOH:A which is UE3 I believe. There's a whole host of things you have to change including weapon FOV. DiRT2 seems to take well to it though. I don't think the dev's planned it since you can see inside of models in the car with a 5040x1050 setup which is a pretty common triple wide resolution.

BF2 also has an interesting reaction to uber widescreen. Sometimes you have to wonder how and why the render engine was coded the way it was for certain games.

It is an old engine but has amazing effects and models for it's time so it probably had to cull quite a bit. I'll be adding a couple DiRT2 sceenshots soon. I spent some time calibrating my monitors as well as setting up bezel correction.

Not on-topic to 3-screen gaming, but seeing how you have a 5040x1050 setup and probably maxing on game settings while receiving playable fps in most games, I would love to see within the next couple year something like being able to render Toy Story in close to 30fps. And if not the generic minimum framerate I would be happy with 1fps also :)

How does crysis look on this size? I know in crysis you can type what resolution you want a screen to be captured at and it will render it to that size, but be able to play the game at those massive sizes would be cool.

It's actually hard to tell what FPS I am truly getting. SoftTH has a FPS graph and in the menu of DiRT2 it shows 31. I would imagine this would be 60 but maybe there's some weird vsync going on. With a lot of particles and lights the playing FPS can go down a bit, doesn't really get below 20 that I can tell. Unfortunately, this is none or 2x anti-aliasing. I'd love to play 16xcmsaa (I think that's the right term) but I am using a middle-end second generation card.

I have no idea what Crysis is like. I never finished that game, it just got boring.

Actually now I'm playing at 5200x1050 which is 1680x1050 by 3 with 2 80 pixel vertical bars added for bezel correction which is a really nice feature and makes bezel's more tolerable. Example:

I get really excited thinking about next generation graphics and how much more realism there will be. Unfortunately, more and more I see the need for SLI.

not half bad

*bows* I'm tempted to say it's the best SoftTH video mostly because of the viewing angle & sound.
