Well, I'm still unsure and have made 0 progress. The torrent I downloaded doesn't have the editor, unless the exe uses a switch but I've only ever seen that on UE3 games. I just tried -editor and that resulted in nothing. So for those that want to pirate to see, don't download "killing floor 1011 Full Game Nosteam (online) madwiggyNLD". Waste of time and bandwidth.

Spanky might have to buy a game.  :o

On topic, I like the idea and I'm sure my 0 talents will be of use some time or another.

Pretty sure the editor is free on Steam but I got it after I'd already bought the game so that might have something to do with it.

GTFO, it wouldn't be the first time. I don't see it on Steam as a standalone, not that I'd dick with Steam anyway.

Does KF have an official stand-alone?

Spanky, you could just have AJ upload the system folder which probably has the editor exe and editores folder.

I'm on MSN with AJ getting the editor exe, hopefully they didn't change much in the little versions they make.

I found out that Killing Floor uses a newer engine version, but not much newer

[2004-06-01_02.01.01] - AA 2.5
[2004-11-11_10.48]     - Killing Floor

Welcome to Midnight Q. Tonight we’re going to enjoy the smooth jazz of Charles Mingus. Norman Mailer is here to read an excerpt from his latest book. And we also have an editor for Killing Floor uploaded on my dropbox. We’ll find out where. Giggity giggity, giggity goo. Stick around.

lol, looks like the devs included the custom buttons on the left side bar and removed the view fog/terrain button from the bottom of the window.

I think KF has the proper unreal components for this version. I remember looking at a post somewhere about the capabilities of the unreal 2.5 engine and complained about how AA was unreal 2.5 but only used things up to unreal 2.

You can pretty  much import maps from 2.5 directly in to the killing floor editor. Crunks version of insurgent camp was amazing fun.

Yea... not directly. You probably don't know all the work behind the scenes. It was hours and hours of hell converting from 2.8 to 2.5. 2.5 to another game... not fun.

*EDIT*
Point:

Almost nothing is in there. That's a copy and paste.

For anyone that wants to mess around, here's the system folder. Keep in mind there's no textures or anything so you can't do a whole lot:

It takes a lot of text editing to import nicely. Really not fun =\

Oooo, thats a good test actually. In addition to textures and static meshes, what else failed to import? Any actors?

It kind of sucks looking at these thread where people are all talking about doing cool things and all you can do is sit on the sideline and watch.  :-[
