Sorry, Linux & me don't get along well. Would you be talking about the web server or auth server? I know both are Linux but I don't know the flavor.

Naturally the auth server is updated and pached.
When it comes to aao25.com, Nick will have to answer that.

I meant all the Assist servers, i.e. authorization and web page (which, if compromised, could be used to access the auth).

Naturally the auth server is updated and pached.

Great job. Good to see AAO25 in hands of responsible admins.

Do you have any trauma associated with Dragon Ball?

[Ganja's post was removed by admins, don't know why, it's legitimate question]

Honestly, yes. My grandmother had a cancer, lived in pain for a few years.
She died at the very moment I was watching the last DBZ episode.
It's hard to forget.

AAO25 and Assist are two separate things, hosted on two totally different servers in different parts of the world. In one way it sucks from a backend coding standpoint (stats and whatnot) but if AAO25 were ever compromised, it wouldn't affect Assist. Vise-versa as well. If Assist crashes, at least AAO25 is online for the users to come and complain :)

That said, I'll have to ask Nick about the web server being updated.

Also, I deleted (moved) Ganja's post since it's off-topic.

Of course those are separated _technically_, but what I meant is that they overlap _socially_. So gaining access to the (technically benign) web server, could give you information about admins, their account, probably even their passwords (I bet admins communicate mostly through PMs on forum).

Formally yes, but it referred to my avatar, was in frendly mood, so there was really no need to remove this post. Let's keep jokes and friendly conversations, even if they happen inside other topics.

True but I delete my PM's and I know ELiZ does too. Our Twitter login is on this forum in the admin area, someone could have fun with that. All the critical stuff is separate. I don't even know how to get on the Auth system, the real system, not just the control panel that has limited features.

Good to hear. This way, fate of AAO25 lies in one pair of responsible hands. Democracy was never good, it's only a way to get you passwords spread out, or have you backstabbed.

Good job, really. Keep it strict, keep it safe. Hope Eliz (I assume he is holding the keys to all doors) keeps this way.
