I find this disturbing, i thought the UK was about freedom and democracy.
-
pretty much, sorry to see that too Jonnym... i like how they even took US approach, throwing in words like 'crime' and 'terrorist'.... Lose your rights for a fear of the boogy man.

Except terrorists are real. I'm not defending the law in any way, it's awful, but don't compare a real threat to a made up one.

Hmmmm, looks like I gotta take UK off the list of countries to flee to when the US goes to shit.

I still plan to go to Australia.
-
Why not Canada? It's closer.
-
Australia tops my list too. Terrorist organizations are funded by the CIA.

Canada's not far enough to feel like a vacation.
-
As long as Skrewy is in Aus, it's off my list.

Yup. Just like the entire planet is controlled by a group of aliens in outer space.
-
If america goes to shit, the whole world will go down with it, best stay is the place thats familiar to you.
-
Better go back to my home planet.

....we been in Afghanistan and iraq for 11 years, if there was even any threat, it was dead in the first 3-5 years. but this whole terrorist propaganda is to put fear in people like yourself, so you feel safer giving up rights you once had... being its 'for your protection'.
As far as im concerned, the war on terror isnt a real war at all... didnt face any real army... the reasons for war were based of fiction kinda like the boogie man. the more you look into the reasons for wars we enter, the more you realize the number dont add up, not going to turn this into another 9/11 thread, you can figure that yourself, or dont. no matter.
but seriously, this is just more 'give up our rights today so we're safe tomorrow'.
ya, that makes sense.

It's silly to think you have any rights at all online. Damn near every site logs your IP, many more log more information. Why is nobody upset about this? Same thing for the government to peek at info flying every which way. If you don't want something known, don't send it out into the world via your computer. It's pretty simple. Even without the government watching, there's hackers...

I agree with soup as always, there's no terrorist threat in the Middle East. So long as we stop pissing them off. Y'all need to listen to more Immortal Tech or something.

That's why the terrorists are killing their own people? What are the Afghani civilians doing to piss them off? Because they are the target of 98% of terrorist attacks.
-
I guess that fits in with the american way of life tho, if its not happening to us its not happening anywhere.
I'm glad you finally understand.

None of them are really a threat to the USA, so I dont know why we are there, we surely havent made their lives easier and i cant imagine how many loved ones have been lost and the deaths seen in the streets by the survivors (civilians) of this war based on greed.... and it doesnt help we go around burning the Korans, causing more riots and disorder there.
the ones who profit from war, dont have to fight in the war, they only have to sell it, ask the people who actually fight over there.

and yes, there are many factors that have been thrown around, such as oil and world economy....which ya are true, but at the end of the day, it all boils down to 1 thing, Christianity vs Muslim (which is another crazy issue, cuz surely the religions are different from each other in alot of ways, but if you break down the basics, they believe in alot of the same, both believe in jesus's birthday on 12/25, both believe in the virgin giving birth to Jesus,, both believe in jesus being crucified)
'religion= diversity, doesnt matter how close our views of God are cuz my beliefs are 100% right and yours are 100% wrong.'
/end rant

Well, almost everyone uses at least a social network (Either Facebook, Twitter, or whatever else), often looking for something on Google, taking a peak over youtube videos or reading your fav news website...we leave marks just by making choices.
Middle East terrorism...you see, there's a share of things that are constantly thrown at your attention by choice. No one did really cared ever gave a f*ck for Ruanda in 1994 (1 million deaths) or Angola's civil war that lasted almost 30 years. So i guess that kind of motto written above is fitting precisely good (obviously not for americans only).

Well seeing as a terrorist attack spurred us into Afghanistan (spare me the 9/11 conspiracy BS please) I would say that occupying their country isn't the only thing that matters here. If anything, we have made them hate us worse, I agree there, but saying there is no threat just isn't true. We've already caught several people trying to commit acts of terror (one right above the area I live in, Detroit)
-
Any more activity in the middle east and this will be looked back on as an attempted genocide.
9/11 was so obviously done by an American hand that I will in fact spare you the BS and just leave it at that.

^^ didn't bother reading any of this. Just came by to say that I couldn't care less about any of it as this terrorism and middle-east stuff doesn't affect me :)
