Title: Knight & Delta: Duelout
Post by: -Delta- on Thursday, April 01, 2010, 03:36:29 AM
Knight you gotta be more specific than that. like Spanky, you need it down to the 10th decimal.

Problem? What problem, I don't care about being super precise. All the info that's needed is there.

Maybe you should learn to take a joke.

Maybe you shouldn't talk down to people over the internet. And maybe you should learn to take one as well. BUT from the sound of things you are very adept at taking things....

When do I talk down to people? I have an opinion on things, sure. But I don't know when I've talked down to someone. Plus, any post directed at me that contains a word that I see as offensive I take offense to. That's why in the real world it's a good idea to leave language out of a discussion.

Your discussion's must be awesome. What do you use to communicate interpretive dance?

If you had any communication skills at all, you would have known what I meant by "language". But, I'll define it for you. In this context, language means profanity, or words that society has deemed as curse words. You can usually find a list of curse words on the Internet.

So who wins?

I don't know, I had the last word, though.

I vote for Delta. Knight seemed to be just trollin', but Delta presented a valid argument and made Knight seem like an ass.

Delta did have the last word but only cause I didn't want to continue with a pointless argument that I -in my mind- had already won. I won simply for the fact that I stopped posting, in that act, I took his power to get a rise out of me away. Hence I win. I may be coming off as an arrogant ass, and maybe I am an arrogant ass. But its true.

Delta won. That whole post was shaky though, you need to practice in front of the mirror or something.

I think delta won too. Just because knight didn't know what "laguage" meant in that context. :D

Either way, Delta can absolutely never ever win.
Apparently he has. What a damned world.

I love how people assume on the web. Just because I chose to make a joke about the way some thing was phrased doesn't mean I did not know what it meant in the original context. My last job was editing other peoples articles for a major computer review site. I know a bit about English and how it works.

I thought jokes were supposed to be funny...

Just because immature minds do not get a joke doesn't mean they aren't funny to their target audience.

What ever the argument was once based on, Knight is now -most certainly- taking the lead.
Delta is a fine sir with impeccable communications skills. As true as that may be, there comes a point where discussions with him meet a dead end. I am not implying Delta is factually dumb or lacks of further knowledge as per the subject in-discussion; simply that his theoretical views are, in many ways, self-shading and self-censoring. For the most part, the existence of limited liberty in one's opinions --or the lack of, for that matter-- inevitably abruptly affects it's value downwards. What could have been a ever-lasting yet interesting discussion, soon enough, becomes otherwise due to the lack of belief and trust put into the usual "thinking out of the box".

At the end;
Knight will always win, unless Delta does too.

(Wait, what?)

Dann, no fucking clue what you said but I agree. I win, I will always win since its the internet and it doesn't matter who thinks what cause this discussion doesn't matter even a little bit to me. Just fun to see how people react. This is, for me, a social experiment.

Title: Re: Knight & Delta: Duelout

I in fact did not say "Killaman you are immature" I stated a fact that just because an immature mind doesn't understand it doesn't mean that other people don't. My comments are not for immature people hence the statement. If you took that as name calling maybe you are immature but I nether know or care to know. We don't know each other, we wont know each other and we will never meet in real life. So there is nothing for me to gain by calling you or any one else any thing over the internet. People who do sink into name calling, forum trolling and flaming do so in an effort to make them selves feel better about what is usually a crappy existence. People seem to get very bold and arrogant on the web, either in a forum setting like this or in multi-playing online games. I have not, nor will I ever, say some thing over the internet that I wouldn't say to some one's face. Yes maybe on the web I put things a little more eloquently that I would normally in real life. But even in real life I am a very articulate person. Again this is all just an experiment for me thank you for participating.

Dann, what's your address? Also, recommend any good airlines?
Title: Re: Knight & Delta: Duelout

26 Ferndale Road, Leytonstone
E11 3DN
Nearest Tube Station: Leytonstone (Central Line)
Nearest Bus Station: AB -Bus 8, 256 or N8.
Nearest Airport: Heathrow Airport

Any Airline is good. If you want, however, wish to get on the "British Mood" before landing, I'd recommend BA (British Airways). They cater you with a lovely tea-time meal, as well. Let me know when you're coming and I'll arrange for a luxurious eventful day (or should I say night?). Also, may the need arise, here is my cellphone number:

(0044) 7765681622

Much love,
Dann

P.S:. I'll be claiming one of Knight's computers. Do know that.

Knight said I get all of this computers. I'll catch a flight to Cali then buzz my way across the pond, from there we can split them up :D I recently saw a show that featured a BA flight with exceptional luck and professional pilots, I wouldn't hesitate to go with them.

A bit about the flight:

Knight, jumping to conclusions is a sign of communication incompetence. So is using vulgar language, but that's really open to ones opinion. When I told you to be more precise it was nothing more than a harmless joke. But you jumped to conclusions and decided I was talking down to you, and demanding you be more precise. When in fact the joke was aimed at Spanky and his super-precise number.

Dann, I hope you're not voting for me just because I don't use vulgar language, or am as susceptible to outside influence as others. I don't change my behaver to fit the times; I don't act like others to fit in, and I don't change my opinion because someone demands it. If that's a problem then it's your problem. We're all equals here, so I have no obligation to conform to your standards.

Hold on with that... do we have any blacks or females here?

We are not equals this is the internet every one thinks they are better than every one else. When in reality we are just lowly ants crawling around Nates computer space.

I agree with you there, some people are arrogant. But, that doesn't mean I have to be. I try to show respect for other people, whether it be in a face-to-face conversion, or on the Internet.

We're all equals here

Hold on with that... do we have any blacks or females here?

lol, what does that have to do with equality? At least in this day and age.

Yup, got that. That's why there was an "lol."

It's sarcasm. You should know better; considering for how long we've talked.

Dann, I guess I missed that one. Sounded pretty thought through to me, though.

It being mostly addressed as sarcasm does not imply that I do not agree with it;
All it does is making it harder for others do read or take it in a neutral way.

It messes more with what's on the other side of the screen, solely.
Which, truth be told, is something I adore to sport.

If you had them, it would not be true sarcasm now, would it?

You may answer the following:
- No.
- Not really.
- Nope.

Thank you for your answer, kind sir.

But without facial expressions and body language, it's really hard to tell when someone is being sarcastic. The only thing you have are smileys.
