It might... as long as you've dropped a couple grand on it. I'm not saying the cheapest one will be as good as that one but a $50-$100 cable depending on what kind should have better characteristics than a cheapie.

Our HD T.V. we got came with an HDMI cable.. I didn't care cause it wasn't my money but my dad got it... The only time any of us see a difference is when we have been drinking and pretty much past out.
