Hi all,
Good to see there is still a community for the good old AA!
Some of you will probably think this is a stupid question :)
But since I haven't played for almost 10 years, I would like to get used to the gameplay again without messing up my game rates on tracker. Is it possible to play "untracked" for a few days, so I can get into the game again?
It seems like changing the AA name on tracker isn't working :)

Well, since tracker pretty much IS your online playername, you're always going to be connected to it.
There is no way of playing untracked.
You can, however, just run AA in offline mode and run around, try different guns, movements, accuracy and so on. However, there are slight differences between offline and online game mechanics (for instance, when learning trickfrags I've seen them fly differently online and offline).
You can also do all the training missions (especially the MOUT one, I suppose) to try and get a feel to the game.

I could also just make another temp training account or something.
But why does Assist only permit one account per computer? :(

Several reasons for this. Plus I don't think Assist admins want to encourage stat whoring.
Didn't even have to click your BT link to know you'd have a very high fragrate :D

The most important reason is to keep a lid on cheaters.
If everyone made hundreds account, people chould just share those with cheaters, making it easier for them to do a comeback.

I understand the reason to encourage cheaters etc. :)
In the past I probably was a fragrate whore ^^ but I always did it the clean way, no cheating, no reconnecting etc. But I "worked" for it to earn it :D
So that's why I don't want to waste it that fast :( Now I don't even get 1 fragrate :( I totally lost the feeling with the game :p I constantly want to grap my pistol or do a melee :D
Anyway it's still nice to be back, I'll may get back the feeling after a few hours play time :) But even then I think it's not possible anymore to get a fragrate of 3, as there are probably less noobs then before ;)

It's defintely possible to get a fragrate of 3 (especially when camping), but that shouldn't be yor goal, your goal should be to have fun :)
We don't really have too big a lack less experienced players. If anything, the average skill level has gone down since there is not as many people to fight against and learn from.

Yeah that might be true as well ..
I always got my fragrate from the opposite of camping, just rush rush rush :) (but after the rush, play safe, no suicide :))
That was the easiest on urban assault back in the days :)

I know, didn't really mean it to be offensive. Just saying you shouldn't be playing this game for tracker anymore since it's dieing and if you're going to play like a fragwhore, the new players won't have fun, that's what some players don't understand.
