Title: SF Dockside
Post by: [SWISS]Merlin on Thursday, July 23, 2015, 08:15:37 AM
this map has a standard slot select of 18 slots as follow:
C, CCCZ, CCCZ

I would like to expand the slot from 18 to 26 as follow:
C, CCCZ, CCCZ, CCCZ

would be great. and I do really still not think, that these amount would be to much. look at pool day, also many players (12) in a very small room - and the most played map next to pipe and hospi.
my 2 cents.

what do YOU think about it. please make your entries below.
thank you!

btw: please do not start another maps discussion until this one has ended.

Sounds good to me except I've not messed with random playerstarts before. The chances of me screwing this up are high.

Killaman rudely pointed out that by editing Dockside, the breachable doors are able to be opened from the outside without breaching them. Of course he mentioned this after I had added all the player slots. So, now I'm making new doors that will hopefully work properly.

But how nice is it that you guys are taking this seriously and already started to work around it!    hooah

it doesn't really matter if the doors can be open from everybody. do not take to much work on that Spanky.

I've asked ELiZ to take a look and see if he can fix the missing code in the editor. I tried my solution and haven't gotten it to work yet. If ELiZ can't do anything about it (who am I kidding, he's a code wizard) then I'll re-visit my doors and work on them some more. In the mean time, Dockside will be on hold. New map anyone?

I would like to see some slot increasing in some of these 26 slot maps: Extraction, PCR, CSAR, Insurgent Camp, Weapons Cache, Border, Steamroller and Hospital. They have room for extra slots which would refresh them nicely. I havent played this game enough to suggest what slots would be nice to have added so please guys, we have activated admins to work around this, so share your ideas, about some of these or other maps that you would like to discuss about. Every map in own thread.

I've patched our Editor code, hopefully it will allow us to keep the destroyable doors, we have to test it further.

Seems like it works as it should. The option shows up in the editor and loaded the value from the map automatically. Building the map now and will test shortly. 34 slot Dockside is coming guys, thank ELiZ for it!

Progress has been made but another wall was hit.

26 is too much for this map. If you have the bad side to get on top, you'll have 13 players of your team down there, it's gonna be ridiculous and wwould only increase the amount of hardcampers IMO

Its not the problem about the 26 slots but the weapons in it 26 players trow granades up the roof is funny. So ther are anough weapons in this game . Select this to make this game atractive.
p.s i hope all slots will be dune so i can  make a nice gameplay for bcd after summer when i am home .

Let's make it the Russian way then - 1 has a gun, the next has the ammo :)

Perhaps then we can remove 1 grenade from every slot? Let's see how 34 slots plays out, we can make changes from there.

The map is done, 34 slots verified working. Several other fixes have been implemented as well. We're working on a few other maps to have a bigger release so be patient and look for an update in the next week or so.
