Title: How to Run a Server while Auth is "down"
Post by: Possessed on Sunday, December 30, 2012, 11:39:07 AM
Here's how to run a server with the Assist client(while Auth is down)
Open Assist(ORLY)
click on the Server tab,
click in Options,
Check the "Free play mode, No Authorization" box
configure your server the way you want, click in ok to save your changes,
Now back on the Server tab click in "Start" to run your server.

If you cannot login on Assist, join the server by IP:Port
ex: type this on game console: open 127.55.66.99:1716
Press " or ~ to open the game console

You will have to figure out how to open ports on your router/modem.
Once you Check "Check the "Free play mode, No Authorization" box,
at the bottom a option will be avaliabe and should be checked by default
its mAAp TeamViewer, If you disable that box, you will be able to see where your Team mates are
Like in BF or COD, but only team mates.
Heres how it looks like, http://aao25.com/maap/assist-7-20-maap-updates/msg37917/#msg37917

no honors, only 15 all, but you can play if you like - until auth system is up again

QUESTION: Where the hell can i find the ArmyOps.exe?

 ANSWER MAC-OSX: /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/25Assist/
 ANSWER LINUX: /home/USERNAME/25Assist/
 ANSWER WINDOWS XP: C:\Documents and settings\USERNAME\Application Data\25Assist\
 ANSWER WINDOWS VISTA/7: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\25Assist\

it is a hidden folder, so go to your windows explorer and change the settings so that you can see hidden ones.

Easy way to open ArmyOps.exe is right from Assist. Just go to the settings tab and click the "AA Settings" button.Once open just type the IP in the console.

Hey, Merlin! The Pool Day server is modded (SF weapons) and I doubt anyone would wanna play SF Pool Day (with flashes and frags and stuff) so I think it would be best to leave it standard.

stop then re start your server and it should not kick for a CVAR anymore.
it means, manually stop from Assist/Dedicated.
no need to manually fix it anymore :)

remember. on windows, the directory is a hidden one. you have to enable the hidden files over windows explorer.
the you will find it somewhere here:

C:\Users\youraccountname\AppData\Roaming\25Assist\armyops\System

i will start [SWISS]PowerServer #3 - map Hospital

open 178.196.49.30:3716

but after last update, you will get kicked with the following message

cvar spash interaction class ....... for 5 minutes...
this is not good.

Can't do it without the Assist server it forces you to quit no option so only command line.

Hi!

I need some help with server starting... So my problem is that, for some reason, at now i cant start the server from console, only from the assist's server manager. Is there any options to start the server from the console command line? I started it with this command before: 'server.exe GLOBAL Pipeline.aao log=server.log ini=aa25.ini -ID=001 -Port=1716' But now its dont work! So can u help me please?

Kind regards, Robi
