Title: Auth retry
Post by: blood^R@G3 on Saturday, March 08, 2014, 13:50:42 PM
Hello Army player,

I hope you can help me.

I want to start my own server.

I have 2 computers.

On Computer 1, the game runs,

Computer 2, I start Assist manager server 8.0.9

In my router I have the ports enabled.

The 2nd PC uses a static IP address and the firewall are off.

When I start the server manager it loads for a while and at the end is then:

Auth Retry.

Auth Retry.

Auth Retry.

Auth Retry.

.......

The server appears to me in game under Deploy as offline.

What have i done wrong?

Ports enabled?

The ports has to be FORWARDED to the Internal Server IP.

Search this forum from Server Ports.

This is what the Assist Server Manager is loading all time.

I still get the feeling is that it's an port forwarding issue.
Can you post a picture of the forwarding rules, and also post the internal IP of computer 2

So here is what ur asking for.

You can also see the IP from the 2nd PC on which the server is running.

You have to use same private as public ports, so
rule #1 should have private 1716-1718

And you still miss some ports, 20046(UDP), 20047(UDP)

I think your DNS server are wrong.
Change it from 192.168.0.1 to your ISP's DNS, or use 8.8.8.8 as a DNS

DNS has been changed in multiple ways but no positive effect  :(

something looks strange to me. your ip 192.168.0.16.
can you try with 192.168.1.16, your default gw to 192.168.1.1
why did you choose that 0 ? and can you try to set the server to port 2716-2718 (not 1716)?
and whats your wan address? you have to set NAT for UDP 2716-2718 and redirect it to UDP 2716 of your servers ip. i do have a server and i did delete all ports, except 2716-2718. so no more ports needed anymore.

Whats about windows firewall?

As suggested, run teamviewer on your server(teamviewer.com)
No need to install, just run, and pm id and pass to me.
If possible, open router config from the Server so that I get access to that as well.

@ELiZ: I do really have only the 1716-1718, 2716-2718...ports opend. the others no more. so no need for them today.

I've taken a look.
Router is connected to ISP using IPv6.
IPv4 port forwarding rules can be added to the Modem using a workaround(entering the url manually).
But my guess is that even if you can enter the rules, they are not used.

you should be able to ask the provider about an "old" ip v4 connection or to configure your modem not to use ip v6 - or both. have a try.

I thank all who tried to help me and hope to see you on the battlefield!

Surely there are some treats about that kind of questions but...

I?m not giving up the hope to have my own Server one day.

So i decided to rent a server.

I have some simple questions about that.

1. Is the game running on Windows AND Linux (what would u recommend more?)
2. What about Port forwarding when i rent a server from a provider?

1. you should shoose the os that you can handle :)
2. i dont know this. guess it should be opend by provider side. maybe ask there.
3. good luck

Good news!

My server is running.

I registered it on battletracker but it still shows that the server is not tracked.

What have i done wrong now?

nice
can you try with another map, for instance Border?
There are some maps which are not tracked. Maybe SF Refinery is one of them, i dont know.
