So, I could use a little help here. I opened AA this morning on my mac. Went to play, it told me I cant and that I needed to update Assist etc. So I hit "OK"... It download, then read "unpacking" or some word in relation to files being put in places (whatever). The app closed, didnt open and now when I try to run it... It wont open at all? Help?

AA Support / 2.5 Crashes on MAC | HELP!
« on: Monday, December 14, 2020, 20:04:46 PM »
Hi Guys,
I'm really hoping someone can assist me here. I had to recently reformat my mac, long story short, I downloaded AA 2.5 but for some reason it crashes on me when I go to a server and select "join". It was working up until last week for me... Can anyone help if I provide the Log file for the crash?

In short - the download does what it does. I then go to actually play but it crashes. So I quit assist and start it back up. It then pops up and tells me there are files partially downloaded so I resume or restart which then seems to me it gets hung up on "Downloading Mac OS X Intel Wrapper". Looks to be all good since it finished the process but then I cant click the menu etc. or even get to server list.

*UPDATE* 12.12.20 "Intel MAC Wrapper NOT INSTALLED". So anything I do, I cannot get this to install. Is there a workaround?

*UPDATE* 01.10.20 For anyone running this game on a mac. When you download the installer file and open 2.5 Assist cancel the download and go to Settings and choose AAO2.5 Server. Close the application and open it back up and install following the steps as you normally would. Solved my issues. Sourceforge is the culprit.

Support / Re: Crashing after macOS Mojave update

Please delete your armyops.ini file if this error prevents you from starting the game

after this, start armyops.exe and wait

I have done this a number of times and still not working. I have also deleted it all and re-installed and still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Anyone else playing this on a MAC?

Support / Crashing after macOS Mojave update
« on: Wednesday, January 08, 2020, 12:55:29 PM »
Guys I really need some help here.
I updated the mac at my office to:

macOS Mojave
Version 10.14.6

Mac Pro (Late 2013)
Processor 3 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon E5
Memory 64 GB 1866 MHz DDR3
Startup Disk Macintosh HD
Graphics AMD FirePro D500 3 GB

(clearly no shortage of memory one bit)

Since that update, I've not been able to load the game. What happens is, I select "Join Server" Assist does what it has to, I OK everything, and as soon as it goes to load Full Screen, it crashes. The text below is the report I get. I've since found the .ini files and removed them etc but nothing changes.

Can someone help out? And dont be a smart ass and tell me to use PC because Im not buying a PC just to play this game.

Error Info Below;

IF you are getting that "optimized" message just hit OK. I get it too and Im fine to play. Come to mind, I was fine to play but now, ever since I updated to "macOS Mojave Version 10.14.6" my Wine crashes. Its strange.

Question here... Assist told me that it will self update when I opened the program. Naturally I click OK to update. Well it did something for a few seconds and stopped. I went to open Assist again and this time my icon bounced once and nothing happened. I restarted my Mac and tried again, nothing. Same thing occurs. I check my Application folder and there is an additional folder there now named. "25deployold".
No idea what this is.

Can anyone tell me whats up with this update and why this happened?

Thanks
B.
