@Merlin: So you decided to speed up the process of dying of this game?

BTW: Happy New Year guys.

He can't be using his own...or rather:  wouldn't it take quite some time and effort in order to get an usable result?

P.s has anything been tested online yet?

To bad ... cause it will be Unreal-like arena gameplay. UT2k4 Bots code is pretty solid, but isn't made for the games like AA. Furthermore, implementation of custom Cover System to this old engine doesn't make sense either - without native codding it can/will break the Net code.

As I've suggested a long time ago: Porting your beloved game to UE3 or UE4 (if you're up to task) will give it a new 'kick'. Way better graphics, new features etc. In case of UE3 biggest plus will be transfer of the whole gameplay - it still using old good UnrealScript.

Brazil has gun control as well, even a program for ppl to release their guns in exchange of some money, and look, the bad guys arent respecting it, shame on them. Gun control turns the citizens into hostages, daily, 24/7.
In countries like Brazil, it is because of the vast difference between the poor and the rich, the absence of the middle class - the same thing happening in South Africa, where most people live in extreme conditions. People there even sleeps with the guns ... not because they feel safe, but because of living in constant fear.

@assist_fan41: A.I. is using original UT2k4 code or you have implemented your own?

I find it an amazing video, entertaining and true as long as I know.
Yeah, true ... It's a living proof that it can be don and why should.

Image that Paris is Texas. Imagine that Texas is having some big Country concert in town. Imagine that muslim scum comes with the idea of attacking there. Imagine this all.
They did -> 9/11 ...

You know what would happen? After first shots fired from their AK-47, you have _literally_ tens of Texan people pulling out their guns and defending. ...
A massacre ..? In the end, they wouldn't know who shooting at who.

Hey idiot, I will give some hint for ya. Your pseudo-reasoning based on fear is typical for anti-gun idiots.

You know what a knife is? A _knife_? Have you ever seen what a sharp knife can do to a human flesh? Me, personally, would prefer to be treated with bullet, than with a sharp knife.

Now: are knifes obtainable legally for all people? Even for the worst of retards like me? Yes, they are.

Now the conclusion. Do we see daily riots on the streets with retards knifing other people?

No, we don't see them.

Same is with guns. Go check your moronic arguments again.

But hey, there is even simpler answer to your fear-based arguments. There already are states allowing guns, hundreds thousands of people there, you know. You see any apocalypse there?

Geez, I love arguing against such dummy people like you, who are just repeating statements they heard on TV news.

First: you need to learn some respect to the others.
Second: Do you know what it's like to kill a man / a living person? Cause I know ... and I've seen the most terrible things (what people can do to each other just because they have gun in their hands ...) you can't even imagine. Believe me, it's not a video game.

...and because you still don't know how to behave on public forum, so please find some other sandbox to dump your shit in it - you are not welcome here anymore.

Vanoke got a big ego-problem and wants everyone to say thank 10x a day for his super event. He's mad that the Assist admins (that probably never ever joined the event) didn't thank him enough times.
Say 'thanks' doesn't hurt - believe me.

I mean if Assist admins were as egoistic as Vanoke, the game would be dead a few years ago. People don't thnk them all the time, but guess what, they are still here helping when they can. And don't need to take all the credit, and they accept criticism.
Oh believe me, they need ... and you where always the first in line.
Two years ago, when you guys refused my help, I gave this game max three years until inevitable - you have one more ... and THIS example is another step forward.

Check the system defragmentation timeline.

Set your first HD as master and the second (on USB) as a slave - if this won't help, try to disable primary partition on it.

AAO was never a simulation but the Vanilla game neither - there is many different reasons why this game was made, its purpose, why as the primary sponsor was US Army etc. But today it doesn't matter, just lets keep its primary concept and this some kind of simulation on the right level - stay between simulation and vanilla games.

Like I've said before:
...
in RL in such situations you will drop whatever you have in your hands.
...and this is the point which you can not 'jump over'.

Hmm ... Nice discussion we have here and even though it will not change my mind about this bug, I like to know what people think.

Maybe we should do - for fans of this bug - special modification which will speed up animations for the 'weapon change' two or three times ... In this way, it will be a real QuickSwap ala Arena games, and most importantly, will be available / an equal chance for all.

Main target of this thread is to remove this bug completely, so guys please stop bitching about warnings, shakes etc.
As for those who "have got used to use it": they will have to learn to live without this 'advantage'.

Is there going to be a poll about this some day?
Maybe people should vote for the other hacks too ..? :S
