One can only hope. I've been putting off formatting my PC and lose my legit win10 version because of it, even though I love windows10 for everything else.
You can update it without reformatting?

This is not possible without the game sources, I thought you were talking about a d3d8 to d3d9 converter/wrapper, this one exist.
Can it be done this way then, so that it would actually work online?

Would it be possible to add the D3D9renderdevice found from 2.8.1 onwards, in 25assist, to give Win8/Win10 users the superior input of fullscreen mode, and the internal gamma settings for greatly improved graphics?

In this day and age, it would help this project a lot. Not many people run on the old Win 7 anymore.

What about the D3D9Render tweak? Doesn't it enable DX9?

I don't get any screen tearing and the mouse feels slightly floaty/laggy, so I know the game is running in borderless instead of traditional fullscreen, even though I have enabled "Fullscreen Mode".

Is there something wrong with the current build of assist so this has sneaked past unnoticed, is there some trick to get the real fullscreen feeling?

What about not being able to change netspeed? It would help for mouse lag to have 200fps instead of 85.

And if Assist rewrites the .ini's (including my controls) to default on every startup, how is it not fixed by Assist?

25Assist > Settings > Tick "Fullscreen Mode". Write there your display resolution if necessary.
Yes, I have it ticked, but see no tearing, there should be tearing without vsync in fullscreen mode.

Reduce mouse lag can cause certain errors so Assist forces you not to use it.
What errors, never had any problems with it?

Also, why are brightness/gamma/contrast settings disabled?

And why can't I even change netspeed to 10001 to enable additional FPS to reduce mouse lag? Or save my CONTROLS? Everything is disabled in this assist thing...

Setting it from in-game options crashes the game, and setting it from armyops.ini doesn't work as it writes it back to False.

How to disable it? Mouse feels floaty without it.

E: Or the floaty mouse is because the game is not in traditional fullscreen mode even when it's selected, because I can't see no tearing, which means it should be in bordlerless.

Back on topic; why not do the option if it's possible?

Not really. The time was cut down to about half outside as well.
Doesn't matter, its still so long its super OP. You just throw it in the air and suddenly everyone in 5 mile radius become blind for an eternity, no hurry just slowly walk up to the enemy and shoot them in the head one by one.

They're set to the exact same time they were set to on 2.8.5. The only difference is that in this version of the game, they work the same outside as they do inside, whereas on 2.8.5 the flashes had next to no effect outside.
Yeah and that was the biggest change that actually made an impact on them.

They're not. Flash times are twice as short as they were in the original 2.5 (don't quote me on the exact amount, it's somewhere in these here forums, I can't be bothered to look for them though).
Not by long shot, theyre still nuclear compared to 2.8.5 in outside.

While some people might want the 'authentic 2.5 experiene', it is probably not the majority. There have been numerous polls asking whether people want a change (such as shorter flash times for example) and the devs here have gone with the majority. Therefore the majority has wanted a change towards 2.8.5 style gameplay instead of the "authentic 2.5 experience".
Even if its not the majority. why not just add the option if its possible? And if people want 2.8.5, why are the flashes still nuclear flashes from 2.5?

I actually voted No myself, but will respect the vote.

Do the option then. It's far too much of a chewing gum solution to be left as it is, if it can't be at least improved then an option is a must.

And of course there is the fact that many players would like the authentic 2.5 experience just like it was, if it is possible to make why the hell not give the option for us?

AA Support / Re: Resolution and keybinds reseting

I had this, but entering the res in teh game console worked (saved).
No, the resolution is 1440x1080 not 1440x900, so the drivers didn't recognize as its not a standard resolution it and thats why it didn't accept it. Now after that registry trick it accepted the resolution normally with setres 1440x1080, and it works great.
