Hi all,

Firstly, I want to say what a good job the Assist team have done on fixing the PB kicks that many players have been getting. It is awesome to see people join the server and can actually have a good game!

I am posting this thread on behalf of player tytanowy.janusz. Since the PB problem has finally been solved, there is a new problem with the SF weapons. I have seen a couple of players who have under 15 honor, who now can't have SF weapons. When an SF slot is selected, or even forceclassed, it is as if they haven't completed the SF training, even though they have completed the training.

I think (and I might be wrong!), that this problem is happening because the players affected have an honor under 15, which in the old days of AA was the minimum honor to have an SF gun. I personally haven't been affected by this problem, being a 94 honor.

Janusz has 11 honor and has been unable to have SF for the past few days. Could someone help my friend, and anyone else who might have this problem, please?
Maybe by putting his honor above 15, or lowering the SF honor limits might be the solution?

All of this talk of a new game is doing no good for Assist. Instead, think of how to get new players and AA veterans back to AA Assist

AI would get me playing ALOT more...

I'm getting quite tired of this.
There's no reason to be banning the 203 from Hospital, just because you 'might' get blown up in the first 10-20 seconds. How about not rushing to those areas in the first place? We all know were the spam shots occur..

I've been playing on assist for well over 2 & a 1/2 years (6 years on AA in total) & all I've seen that time on assist is the introduction of AA3 maps & a scoreboard hanging on the wall which no-one ever sees. Golly.
I've been patiently waiting for 2 & a 1/2 years for some real good additions to assist to make the loss of 2.8.5 alot more bearable, starting to get a little bit wearing now.

That said, I do appreciate the work of the admins keeping AA going, otherwise it would have gone completely 3 years ago.

I think the best thing to do is LEAVE IT ALONE!!!
The 203 has been on Hospital for what? 10 years? If it hasn't driven players away in that time, I'm sure it wouldn't now!

All it would do is drive away the Hardcore Hospital players, such as myself.
On another note, I used to really enjoy Interdiction in 2.8.5, now I don't give it a second looking on the server list. Why? No woodland. I loved the strategy of the Woodland & having to sneak around hunting for the Enemy. Now it's a completely ruined map, as far as I'm concerned. Please don't run down the Hospital as that would inevitably end my 6 years of playing AA.

At this time I will not do any work on adding AI to 25Assist


Personally, I'd make it a high priority.  I've played allot less since the army shut down the auth servers, not because of assist, but because of no Co-op maps. I enjoyed Snakeplain, Interdiction, ES2 Border, because of the strategy the AI provide - Yes, they can be push overs, sometimes they're real good too! Just would like it 'like' 2.8.5 used to be. I'm sure some here would agree.

I must admit, I've played ALOT less since the auth was shut down in 2011 & converting to assist. Snakeplain & ES2 Border was what I always played, just look at my map stats! http://battletracker.com/playerstats/aao/804964/Mr_Gunman-GB/

Do you realize how much stuff we have to deal with? This is done in our free time. We don't have all the time to discuss all of these issues. It's a slow process.

TKing is also a fairly delicate matter. We can't just punish people for a TK session. It needs to be repeated. Unfortunately Battletracker doesn't report ROE in the session history. However, in this case ti seems fairly obvious that he does it quite often (his points on 158 hours of bridge are negative).

I gave him a one week ban for it.

Yes, I agree you can't give him a ban trough one TKing session, but this player is prolific in what he does. There's a few people on this thread that have said the same thing & I have also noticed another thread on this sub-forum started a month ago about this player.

Add reset to their training and they have to go through the ball ache of redoing it. They will know if they get in trouble again they would have to do it all again. Makes sense to me.

I'm not saying this is the case, but (especially on Hospital) you can also accumulate ROE from killing nurses.

I think it would be better if you provided screenshots of the actual TKs in the console.

And bollie, it clearly shows Gunman has died 3 times (The most KIAs in the team is 4, so that's probably how many rounds there had been in this match), so if he was TKed more than that, it was probably not in the same match.

He sure wasn't shooting the nurses! I can't seem to figure out how to take a screen shot with the console open, otherwise I would posted the TK's.. So I thought the scoreboard would be the next best thing..
You're right, it wasn't the same match, he started doing it on the previous one.

I've seen this player has a thing about TKing his own team mates before & get away with it without a ban :mad:

I was just on SF Hospital on ambush team & I shot the big 'H' sign in the Parking alley (I Often do that for a bit of pointless fun..) Pepper88 did not approve, so proceeded to hose me down with his machinegun bu didn't kill me. I said a  :censored: comment about that, he then finished off the job..
He was TKing me at the beginning of 5-6 rounds after that.



Admins, please ban this character.
