Server Support / in game mapchange for "SF Refinery" not possible anymore

there is a problem atm with this map. you can not change it as admin in game nor as player with mapvote. i guess there is something wrong with the names MP_SF_Refinery. while trying to change to this map, you will see text like .... \Briefings\MP_Refinery.txt (and not MP_SF_Refinery). maybe this is the problem, don't know.

by starting this map at server start, all is ok and the map will be loaded.

Assist Support / can not join any server

hi all out there
now I need a bit of help - for a friend of mine.
he did play this game a lot and without any problems. but now he can not join again (he did not changed router, windows, nothing).
he can start the game and he can select one of the servers to join - so far all good. also all green on assist menu. but when he select a server to join, then this is showing up - and he will be not connected to a server at all

he did install all new, all the parts on installation are green, but ....
what could that be? I am really a bit out of ideas

does anybody know how to put the "first person view only"
this settings are available. I did set the red one to true, but it seems not to be working.
still possible to see other players while playing.

if you would like to play on servers with other maps like pipeline, urban assault, hospital, then just catch a server with map vote activated and set the map you like. sure, you have to wait 10, maybe 20 minutes until other players join. but then it is really fun to play another map like sandstorm, woodland outpost or others. about 98 maps selectable !

did you even know that there is a map like monkey island (you will find gaja/weed there

)?

so have a try and choose another map then you always play. it's easy, join the server and open console, then type - mutate mapvote SFextraction - to change map to Extraction. more maps and it's name you can find here:

maybe we should start talking about only 1 account, this would be good.
I would vote for that.

no more tricks and others, only ONE account for aa2assist. the beginning of a good time it would be.

no more changing accounts when banned. no more second and third player names to join more the one clan. no more hiding with clan members to help for advantages. no more, just one account and with that you are responsible like the most of the players in here are.

as you maybe know, players with "old" accounts like me ([SWISS]Falcon) do have the possibility to join maps as "hidden" players. no one would know who this players is. it is used for watching clan members doing play, it is used for (in the sad way) helping clanmembers. it is used for being proud to have more then one account. it is used for unfair behavior.

it should not be like this. only 1 account - stay for it and play with it. I guess it is time to discuss this at the front line. same guidelines for all or none for all. this means 1 account for all or more then 1 for all.

my 2 cents about this "old" fact.

General Chat / players get killed and leave - joining again

what is that, I can not follow:

a lot of players do play 3-4 rounds, then they get killed and they leave immediately.
then they join again, same thing 4-5 times.

this is very strange to me, I do not understand why.
I did see doing this last 3 days really a lot. and very often used by the guys from -wA'tNc.clan like rollo, also ganja. why are they doing this and for what reason?

can some one explain this to me, I really need help to understand

Assist Support / Reduce Mouse Lag

there is a option at settings - input controls called "reduce mouse lag". to use this feature, you always have to activate it when joining a server.

it there any way to get that as a default ? - I didn't find it at user.ini

the server cache size is by default set to 96.
who of you did change that size to another value - and if so, to witch value?

I am asking because this default could also be changed to another value. then it would not be necessary to change it back after an update is released.

my value is CacheSizeMegs=256

would be nice to have some feedback about that.

do somebody know what this is? I can see this only from this two players, but it is logging like hell. so therefore they must have very lag. should be fixed with "fix" or "update pb", right?
