General Chat / Re: Auth Server is down
« on: Friday, January 25, 2013, 09:43:18 AM »
I'm not complaining and this game is not free.  Cost me $20 tonight as I purchased more bandwidth just to play and then couldn't.  Also the servers most people run normally cost between $100 - $350 a month to host.
I'm sorry if I'm mistaken, but why would you pay so much for a server? You can get a 26 slot server for 26€/month. I know that probably wont have the best performance, but paying 10 times more doesn't seem reasonable to me.

Again, I don't know much (if anything at all) about this, but $350 a month really seems like a waste to me.

General Chat / Re: Auth System Sucks

Riddle me this:

If auth was or is down, how is it that my screen says Auth is UP, but I STILL AM LOGGED IN ELSEWHERE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Can you guys figure out how to use a computer? For real this is completely retarded
For me logging in with a different account usually helps if it says I'm already logged in. Then I just wait a couple of minutes and try to log in again with the original account and eventually it usually lets me.

But then again that's just something I do and that has worked for me (not necessarily in the same situation, too).

Maybe that's a clever way of saying he got banned from the gas station?

Um... What grade in school did you graduate from? I've been playing AA since it was older than 2.5. There's only one version of 2.5 available for download that works 100% correctly with Assist, and that's the version Assist Auto-downloads and installs for you. Wake up and smell the coffee... Only one version that works properly. Oh, wait... That's version 2.5... DUH. Go away idiot.
If you read his comment thoroughly, you'll see he didn't tell you to install the right version OF 2.5, but the right version FOR 2.5. What  this means is that he thinks you might not have the right version of the mod (the one that works with 2.5).

The radar has been talked about and it can't be added without implementing loopholes for hackers. (in this case it wouldn't even be the same radar really)

And the red dot I think can't be taken away either, as tidididi said. Assist admins don't have the game code and therefor they can't mess with the game to too great an extent.

mAAp Project / Re: Official mAAp v7 Bug Reporting Thread
« on: Thursday, January 24, 2013, 16:51:25 PM »
There's a weird bug on Residence:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/yh9tpwmmeqos5up/residence_bug.dem
Has anyone looked at that one?

It's a demorec file, just put it in the Demos folder and type "demoplay residence_bug" in console in the game. (people didn't understand what it was in the other thread)

General Chat / Re: Battletracker
« on: Thursday, January 24, 2013, 10:18:28 AM »
Well all maps are tracked in the sense that it count your kills and core, but mAAp maps don't get the overall kills and score on BT. But this is again something that pnly Battletracker admins could fix.

Then again the maps converted from 2.8.5 could be made fully tracked if BT thought the name was e.g SF Floodgate instead of [mAAp] SF Floodgate.

Sorry mate, but the only people who could fix it are Battletracker admins and they've been missing for months now, nobody's seen them or been in contact with them. Until they're still gone I don't believe there's nothing that can be done.

yes, 82nd pipeline gave me perm ban, i didnt do anything wrong.
I'm pretty sure you probably got banned for Unaothorized login, that ban actually lasts for 24 hours (even if it says it's permanent).

Seeing as the click the gun does when it runs out of ammo is exactly the same as when it jams, I don't think it's possible to tell what's triggering the noise.

Unless of course that rattling you were talking about was something other than an empty gun click, in which case I really don't know what you're talking about.

Someone please delete this thread. Thanks.
why should this thread be deleted?
The only problem I see with this thread is that there actually is a previous thread about this same issue.

Go to http://redsack.com/aastat/aa.htm , go to Find a player by their GUID and find your GUID (29F5C28B8A327A80854C65DC01E66078)

Then take a picture of the latest honor and post it here and you'll have your proof :) (it shows 71,  but I'm sorry if I'm too lazy to printscreen and upload the image)

I know, that's what you hear, but I would think the enemy hears bullets. I think that because this has happened to me like tens of times and I would guess it has happened to enemies that kill me at least a couple of times as well, but I don't recall hearing click-click-click and dying.

When you get a jam, sometimes the bullets keep firing (without sound) indeed, but never infinitely (in my experience at least). For me it always ends up a jam in like 6-9 bullets in without sound.

As for the second bug there again is no sound. It's really irritating when I get that bug because with no sound and no recoil I don't even understand that I'm firing and then whoop all of a sudden I'm out of bullets.

But I don't believe neither of them causes the ratting sound that's talked about in here (well I don't really know about the first bug) as in the first one (I think) the bullets still come out (therefore there should be no "click") and in the second one I believe others just hear your gun fire rounds faster than usual.
