Wickid, it takes a long time for Assist to Check AA, because it checks that all the maps are correct at start.

I'd  recommend doing exactly what Assist is telling you to do. Close Assist, open it again and log in again.

If it doesn't work the first time, try it an other time (at least for me it usually works after 1 or 2 times).

If all that fails, you can do "Reset + Repair AA" under the Settings tab in Assist.

If that still fails, you can try to uninstall Assist and then reinstall it.

How about a built in feature inside assist that checks your graphic cards id. So if you ban him you can ban his graphic card id and he cannot login on the computer running with the same graphic card. If that is even possible. Just thinking out loud...
I'm pretty sure they already ban by HW ID, or am I wrong?

I know that once they're banned they can't play on the same PC with other accounts right away (unless they do certain changes to it).

As the name suggests, it's a bot. In other words, it's a cheat you download to be "better" at the game.

And since his FR is low I'm guessing he sucked at the game and thought he'd improve with help from a program, but was banned right after trying.

grizzly be quiet, you are ruining my theory
Sorry. I'm not saying your conclusion is incorrect. I'm not even saying it would be incorrect given a "correct" sample group, I'm just saying we can't rely on only those votes we have right now.

According to my statistic skills we can treat those thirty players who voted as representative group.
In order for statistics to "work" you need have a random selection of participants.
Forum users aren't really random from the whole game. Forum users are (mostly) the ones who want to change something or give their opinion on stuff related to the game.

I might be wrong of course, but I really don't think people who are fine with whatever is happening and don't have anything to complain about just come on the forums to chill.

Hardware/Software / Re: Screen missing blue color
« on: Sunday, March 03, 2013, 06:23:22 AM »
Now tried
PC-TV and still missing blue color.

I'm pretty sure its because of that windows update.
I mean the update which computer asks to do when you turn off your computer. As I pressed it, the 1 of 3 steps went fast (5min top), but the 2 of 3 was taking too long and I went to sleep, in the morning the computer was turned off and when I turned it on, the screen was missing blue color. So it can not be the cable nor the PC's plug as I didnt remove the cable from PC.
As for Windows updates taking a long time, I don't think that's really a problem. In my experience they sometimes just take a long time for no apparent reason (it's not like it says the ETA time when updating). But I've never had any problems as what you're describing with Windows updates.

If everything worked before the update and nothing was changed during it, it could be a faulty update (or something). But I really don't know if (or how) you can remove Windows updates other than formatting. Then again, there could be ways.

Also, if it really is a software problem, maybe try reverting to older video drivers instead of using the newest one, it might help. (although I do believe Windows doesn't update your graphics drivers in Windows update, but hey, who knows)

I'm pretty sure most people who only play on modded servers don't have forum accounts (or don't use them). They don't have a problem.
It's only the people who have a problem with it that come here and post about it.

Hardware/Software / Re: Screen missing blue color

Radeon HD 7800

Now tried other HDMI cable twice,
PC-> monitor   - still same, display missing blue color
xbox-> monitor   - everything is ok

The graphic card is all right because before update everything was okey... Played with hdmi from June to February. Because of this havent played AA for a month.
My reasoning still suggests your PC's plug is damaged (not to graphics card itself, only the plug). It wouldn't matter which cable you try, it would still be the same.

Can you try the same cable from your PC connected to some other TV/monitor?

Seems like you might have a pin that has gone bad or is not making proper connection on one of the connectors of the cable that you are having trouble with.
If I'm right in presuming that when he tried the cable with his xbox, he used the same TV/monitor, then the only connection that could be broken is the one in his PC. So my bet is the PC socket is broken (or a pin gone bad like Grit said).

1. I'm pretty sure Assist pings are not 100% accurate, but I'm unaware of the reason. They usually show roughly the correct ping for me tho (+ or - 20 every now and  then).

2. I'm pretty sure they can be killed when they go to prone instantly. The question is where to shoot. The "hitbox" might not be where you see the body to be. The same thing is with the bug where you see the enemy as standing/crouching, but they're actually crawling and shooting their body does nothing. Only in this case, I really don't know where the "hitbox" is, but I'm pretty sure it should still exist.

Ban Appeals / Re: BAN :(

As much as I've gathered from this thread, it was Possessed who banned you. Just be patient and wait until he has time to come here and elaborate on the reason.

Also, without the tracking system there would really be no way of telling who's who. I mean if you can't look at a player's previous names you can't know if he's a friend of yours or just someone who's pretending to be someone else.

Stop tracking at all?
Well then there would be no honor tracked either (OK, honor tracking could be done on a differently, but it would still require quite a lot of time and resources to develop such a feature).
Now I'm not saying honor is everything in this game, but without it there would really be no sense of forward motion in the game for a specific user, if you know what I mean.
I know there are people who only play competitively and that for them honor doesn't mean anything, but there are also other that like to gain honor every now and then just as an accomplishment.

Background Checks / Re: talk about cheats but .....
« on: Friday, March 01, 2013, 13:54:28 PM »
1.I think you mean you want to know where or not someone is banned for cheating(not 100% sure though). If that's the case, then:
If a player has been caught cheating on Assist, he wont be playing and you can't see him (on that account at least)
If you wish to see history/other accounts of player, go to http://history.anticheatinc.com/aa2/ . Although I must warn you it's no longer up to date (only accounts since before 2012 I guess).
If you really think that someone is cheating, you can post it here on the forums (or send a PM to Sergio) and it will be looked into. (Don't do it too often though, Sergio can't devote all his time on this game)

2.There will almost always be some cheats/hacks that are not detected right away. That's why all the anticheat software always need to evolve.
The bottom line is that if you're not physically next to the person, you can never really say with 100% certainty that they're not using something.
