General Chat / Re: Windows8

but as you know there is always a big difference between beta and final releases, very big differences.
so why not let players find out at that final version what is working and what not? and by myself i do not have an error with punkpuster, i have one with ..obj...
and maybe (not you spanky) someone can fix aa25assist (jonny?) to make it run again with win8...or this game will be dead within one year, because everybody has to install win8 earlier or later.
Not everyone is going to install it. Some of the news on it said some big wig for microsoft had to be helped out with using windows 8. LOL I would guess 85% or more of us will end up using it but I know people still holding on to windows xp, bout like those of us not willing to let go of AA 2. I am going to install it and give it "another" try one of these days but I am going to wait and see what other problems arise with it first.

I've run "Assist" on Windows 8, but as I'd wrote to You in secound post in this topic: Biggest problem is PunkBuster that will kick You in cause of detecting violation of UNKNOWN WINDOWS API FUCTION. KPW?
Haven't done much other than look around and web surf on 8. Don't suppose there is a compatibility mode that can be used to get punk buster happy is there?

will people running windows 8 ever expect too be able to run assist or is it a major thing getting them to work together?

If you had seen the ROE yesterday night you would understand  :(

Exactly. with all the tking and players just reconnect, and if we ban then within a few minutes they are back with another ip, mac, and player account. Didn't want to do it but it seems to be a way to at least slow them down from coming back and causing more trouble. If you have any other ideas we are more than willing to hear them.

Its not the new 2.5 players we having troubles with its the ones who think they are some new modern rambo and just don't care and the numbers just seem to be increasing like  a plague.

I like how they give grades to rate isp like do school papers. LOL Just wish may grades now were like in school. When my internet is up to snuff it only gives a D.

For the last month its been an F.

This last friday a service tech was here for about two hours checking everything on my end including the wiring from where the service enters the house to my modem and originally tried to tell my router was causing it. And I said hows that, Its not even connected to that modem or that computer. LOL Service tech my ass. You can teach most anyone something but till they dig in and get some hands on experience they are book smart and street stupid. Some may say I don't know what I'm talking about or it's rude to say that. But I have seen it so many time in the course of my life so far.

Seems to be a rash of this editobj crap going around all of a sudden. If someone tries to tell you to type that, don't do it. LOL Had two players kicked from the server tonight for it.

Has anyone been able to say for sure what is causing this error? I see it a lot through out most every day and have one person who every time he joins will get kicked for it. Some times he will play one or maybe two rounds but usually it kicks him before can even start the first round and he will come back over and over and it the same every time. I see in that second link they were saying it from people closing out assist or joining another server. These two answers I know are wrong at least in his case as he is repeatedly joining and getting kicked. But what about the Norton antivirus?

qt.stump and qt.chump were doing this with a third person any time they played. They were slow learners as each time they were caught and banned they would just get all new accounts and do it again which just made it that much easier to catch them. Either they moved on to different game or changed their ways and are laying low as haven't seen them for over a week now.  :?

No problem. I just wish there wouldn't be any need to report any thing other than people having clean fun. But as long as there are games there will be people who think the rules don't apply to them.

Background Checks / Suspect players
« on: Thursday, September 13, 2012, 04:09:06 AM »
Have a couple suspect new player accounts. Wonder if could have a look please. May not be of any importance but one of them would spin around a couple of times at the beginning of his first round of play after joining the server. Player did this whenever joining and no other time. I observed this three times. The second user seems to have another account join spectators any time he plays and never join game. they have used stingarray and username34.

What's the adress aleschko pls ?

hmm.. As i said, my Sound card is a PCI 2.1 card, not a PCIe...
So would the card work in a PCI 2.0 slot ?

Sorry I read it wrong, but the same holds true that the PCI 2.1 is backwards compatible with PCI 2.0

Your Pci-e 2.1 card will work in your Pci-e x16 slot. Only thing is you will loose the benefit of the increased bandwidth a Pci-e 2.1 slot would have given you.

Look at it, 90% of the people are saying they want AA2 back, enough people rage on them it might work.

No chance in hell they will revert back to AA 2 point anything. The reason they shut down all their servers and support was to try and bully us and force the sheeple to go to AA3 since we didn't all swarm to AA3 like they had anticipated.
