Merlin my UltimateMod is not the UltimateMod from back in the day that mod was made by Berry, my UltimateMod i made from scratch.

if you want to play respawn join The Fallen Ones Anti-DDOS Respawn Server, i made the respawn mod used there, it is a little buggy but it is fun, i am working on a new version trying to eliminate the bugs.

once in a while  when you respawn your spectating yourself all you have to do is leave and come back if that happens.

as far as adding it to assist goes not sure if they would add it as an official assist mod, but respawn can be played whether assist adds it or not.

i released my RespawnMod and the source code for it here:

the download link is no longer vaild i will have to update it at some point but noone seemed interested enough to download it and put it on their servers.

as a matter of fact even my ultimatemod the worked really well in my opinion people didnt really seem interested in, ive had one person pm asking how to put it in their server and i told them, never heard anymore about it, and shady from the nexus clan had me put it in the nexus pickaweapon server as you could pick your own guns in this mod, other then that ive really been the only one using these 2 mods.
Both mods were released publicly on this website.

if you have your own server and would like the respawnmod on it pm me and ill get the mod uploaded and produce a link to downloaded from.

Games & Programming / cant edit files in wotgreal

so when i open files in WotGreal and there is a blue [p] next to them, i cannot edit these files they are protected/read only and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it, I've had this issue before but i don't remember how i fixed it.

I've tried re setting up my UScript compiling environment from scratch but it doesn't fix the issue.

for now im just using notepa++ but would i would rather use WotGreal.
 also i cant seem to compile Engine to add a few missing variables, UMake freezes at "Importing Defaults for xPrivilegeBase"

i never had an issue compiling Engine before, this is the first time i'm working with unrealscript since i moved to windows 10 from windows 7 although i wouldn't think that would be an issue.

Releasing launcher for testing/use, it is basic and needs a lot more work but this will work for now.

when i first started playing this game i was on linux and i did host a sever from home.

this is the guide i used:

First you must have an existing americas army 2.5 installation,
If you do not follow these instuctions to download and install it...
Login to your server on the console or remotely using SSH:
Move into your home folder:
cd ~

Download the installation package:

Set executable and execute:
chmod +x

When asked for an installation path enter: ~/armyops
Say no to symbolic links
Select Base Install
Say no to startup menu entrys

After some time the installation will complete.
You may now delete the installation package:

Move into your americas army 'System' folder
On our fresh install you would use:
cd ~/armyops/System

On an existing 25Assist(GUI) Installation use:
cd ~/25Assist/armyops/System

IMPORTANT, Rename server-bin to serverx
mv server-bin serverx
chmod +x serverx

Download and extract 2.5assist:
chmod +x server-bin

Now edit the aa25.ini file with your required settings:
nano aa25.ini

Start the Server:
./server-bin GLOBAL map-filename

(replace map-filename with your choosen map, bridge, insurgent_camp, radio_tower, etc.)
(Optional command-line arguments  -Port=1716  -Multihome=  override settings in aa25.ini)

Additional pb commands can be added by creating ServerMessage.cfg in the "pb" folder and adding them there.

You might have to install this to get it to work:
apt-get install lib32stdc++6

i myself can use it how it is now just fine, but before it can be used publicly i have to get a sql server setup for it, there is no tracking at all, the usernames,passwords are put into a data base and the servers are put in a database that you can look through and copy the ip address and port for the server you want to join.
