Oh right. Yeah, my memory was a little fuzzy there. Thanks for clarifying. I recall removing that railing and the playerblocks as a result of a poll since it was an engine-level issue, not a map issue. I do recall the RPG change as well, though that was done before the railing was removed I think. Man. Talk about blast from the past.

I do think the railing was never originally there. But it was added to fix people on West Wing Roof being invisible. But if I recall correctly, people kept complaining. Which is why it was ultimately removed again.

Regardless, people are now complaining that they want their 203s back instead of the single RPG. Even though the vote at the time was clearly to remove the 203s. There is no way to please everyone.

Although, I can't seem to find it in game so it's possible it wasn't ever included in any of the updates due to redundancy.

The current version of SF Hospital does have the full 32 slots as far as I'm aware. It also removes the 203s and brings back the RPG from the beginning of the map. And it fixes (or at least attempts to do so) an issue with West Wing Roof (if I recall correctly).

Maybe I'm misreading things. But OP doesn't mention server manager anywhere, just the regular client?

You're right - I missed that. The specific fix was for the server side setup. I just recalled the specific issue of "Failed to verify vital components" and a solution for it and assumed it'd be the same issue. So that's my bad.

So the underlying issue may be the same, but the exact resolution will probably be different.

I just mean the regular client and it fails at step 1

Along with all those, it might just be a permissions issue. You can try running the app as administrator.

How to fix Assist Server Manager - Failed to verify vital components

1. Download 7-Zip 4.57.0.0

2. Extract the archive and grab the file 7za.exe (506kb)


3. If you've run into this error before, you'll have a 1kb 7za.exe in your server manager folder alongside AssistServerManager.exe and AssistServerManager Libs. Replace the 1kb file with the 506kb file you've just downloaded. If not, drop the 506kb 7za file.


Server manager should now be functional.

I've seen you in game multiple times, so not sure whether the issue is intermittent or when it happens.

Generally, this issue comes up when you've logged into the client with a different IP compared to what it is later. So if you have a dynamic IP that keeps changing, this could be the cause. For instance, I see this when I've been logged in overnight.

Since this is clearly only happening sometimes, please provide some more details.
When does this happens? When does it not (clearly it doesn't happen always)? Is there any clear distinctions between the two scenarios?

Just go https://auth.aa25.org/passreset/ and enter your email (and not the username).

Bare in mind the email might end up in your spam folder.
