The login name for the account you've created for 25Assist is not geovaniv1.
The login name for the in game account is "MazokuLindo".

The aao25.com forum account (the one you're using right now to post here) is separate from the 25Assist in game account.

I think the issue is that when you registered your account (some time in 2021), you didn't actually use it to log in to 25Assist. As such, the account has never been activated. And because of that the apssword recovery doesn't work.

Now, I tried to manually activate your account without you having logged in to 25Assist. But it didn't work. Most likely because it relies on the login data through Assist.
So unfortunately you may need to create another account.

PS:
This was regarding an account with the same email that you have for your forum account. The in game name is "=]FEC[=Mazoku". If you're referring to some other account, please provide more details. I couldn't find any based on your username or the AA name provided here.

I would like to be able to recover the old account with the original name and if possible whit the honor.

Not sure why I missed this post from last week. Sorry about that.

Regardless, the issue here is that there's a separate login name from the in game name. The in game name of "[canaglia]dr.mortak" is taken. But to log in with that account you need to use the login name of "morak". And when you're doing account recovery, you enter the login name rather than the in game name.

you're right, there was a pop-up. I actually didn't ignore it, I guessed my old Macbook would be "old enough" - it's 2013.
I got another one, an even older one, but I can't boot it unfortunately. :(


Compared to this game, a 2013 birth means a young child :)

With that said, if you're going to be having to emulate anyway, you're probably better off using the newer machine.

Unfortunately, short of running through a VM, you're not going to be able to run this on a modern(ish) MacBook.

There was also big pop up before you downloaded the MacOS client that informed you of this.

There are quite a few threads on the forums about this. But the TLDR is that the game itself was compiled as a 32 bit application and MacOS Catalina (10.15) and up only support 64 bit applications. And since we don't have the source code for the game, we can't recompile it as a 64 bit application.

I will assume you're talking about logging in to the 25Assist client.

I can in fact see an account with that name in our database.
The login name is "[canaglia]viper". The last login was in 2014 (over a decade ago!). No email has been attached to the account.

So you should be able to attempt a login to the client.

I've added your forum email to your 25Assist account just now. So if you're unable to login, you should be able to reset password through the links at the top of the page (under Assist Account) using the email address.

thanks for reply, i found it.

now a friend clanmate have a problem with registration on website, he can't receive activation email. He watched in the spam but nothing.
I'll assume you're talking about a forum account here. I you're not, then please specify.

If you tell me the username of the account, I can look in the queue and activate manually.

I can't login with my AA account... Reset password seems not working. If I use the password to join the AAO25 website it doesn't work.
I'm not quite sure what you're saying. You're logged in to the website, but you say the password doesn't work? How did you log in if the password didn't work?

Just an FYI, the aao25.com forum account is separate from the 25Assist in game account. The latter can be managed by links under "Assist Account" at the top of this page.

The common causes for this are:
1. Using a VPN. Some VPNs will route traffic differently based on the destination. So the packets going straight to the authentication server may be going straight there whereas the ones going to the server may be going through the VPN server (or the other way around). Disabling any VPN will fix this if this is the case.
2. Using multiple internet connections at once. This shouldn't really happen, but if you're connected both to WiFi and over the cable, it may be that the connection to the auth server went through the WiFi (e.g to a hotspot) and the rest is going through the ethernet cable to the router. Make sure you're only connected to one internet source at a time.

If one of those is not the culprit, then I'm not fully sure.

Remember - you don't know what you don't know.
Just because Joe and "his gang" don't keep shouting how many times they've been banned on the shoutbox, doesn't mean it hasn't happened. I can guarantee that it has.

When I pointed out his double standards, he muted me. Instead of responding to me as a good admin, he ignored my PM and did not even respond to this post. No one from the Assist  Admin staff wants to dig into why I was muted without cause.
It's possible you were banned on the shoutbox as a mistake. If there's a lof of nonsense on there, it can be hard to pinpoint who's trying to do what. So perhaps your example was a mistake. I do not know.
However, given this thread, I've got a feeling it wasn't.
With that said, we're a busy bunch. We don't have time to reply all sort of nonsense PMs. Believe me, we get plenty of it. Remember - we're running this place as volunteers. Free of charge. In our (limited!) free time. Trust me, it's (for the most part) not for the "fun" of it (especially recently).

I have been in the community for a very long time, as many others, and I don't start trouble, but your admin has decided to show his hand on his bias. The issue is that the rest of the Assist Admins don't want to deal with the cold, hard truth. You would rather delete our post or mute us, which is not the America's Army Way.
I'm sorry you don't like how we try to keep the peace in this community. I must admit, we've not done a perfect job of it. Clearly many of you are mad. Either at person A, person B, or their friends, or just the people trying to keep the peace (i.e the administrators).

I will re-iterate again. All we're trying to do with the shoutbox moderation is to lower the (perceived) level of drama and hatred that is rampent in this community. We're not shutting down any one narrative. If we had, you would notice that there wouldn't be any fighting since there'd be nobody to fight. We're trying real hard to make this community feel welcoming and friendly for new (or returning) players. We're trying real hard to limit the moderation to the shoutbox only. But the commmunity keeps proving - time and time again - that our efforts are futile.

So perhaps we should give up? And just admit that this is a toxic community that nobody should want to be a part of. That we might as well let this game die altogether. It's about time, isn't it?
Surely none of us want that!

I was banned from the chatbox just the the day, and I was told on Discord which comment caused my ban, with a screenshot. Fortunately, it’s only for 24 hours and you could still comment in the chatbox via the forum (unless you get a ban from that as well. lol).

I saw your comment which lead to your 24 hour ban, and I thought it was such a non-story, I can’t actually remember what you said.....

In the past 7 days, me, Carmy, Playtronics and Bumpy have been given temporary bans. I really don’t understand what the hell is going on to be honest....
I can tell you what is going on. But I've got a feeling you won't like it.

There's a bunch of grown ass adults acting like children. And the 25Assist team is left to deal with these children. Whether we act on something or not, we always get shit thrown back in our face. In fact, we're being told we're dictators whenever we do something about the nonsense and hate going on in the shoutbox. And we're being told we're biased if we don't get to something else one of you thinks is "just as bad" within an hour or two.

There used to be a saying "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anyhting at all". But clearly this community has self-identified as "if you can't throw fuel to the drama fire, don't bother posting".

I don't know what was said exactly. But my best guess is that it was something that was adding fuel to the fire. And the easiest way to put out a fire is to remove its fuel. Which is what was done.
Perhaps the fuel was unintentional. Perhaps something was said as a joke. Perhaps there was a misunderstand. I don't know. But the only real option for slowing down this toxic behaviour in the shoutbox is for us to give people 24h bans on the shoutbox. Perhaps it would be better if we called it a "time out" instead of a ban. But the effect remains the same.

I don't know whether or when you were banned from shoutbox. All I could see is that shortly before you posted this thread you had - in fact - posted on the shoutbox.

With that said, whenever someone does get banned, there is never any "explanation". It's just not something that's built into that system.

But if you were in fact banned, it was a temporary 24h ban. Probably for something you said. And that something was probably removed as well.
I could probably manually dig through the database to find what you posted and what was removed. But I really don't feel like it.
